⁷ And ^(A)a cloud overshadowed them, and ^(B)a voice came out of the cloud, ^(C)“This is my beloved Son;^{[a] (D)}listen to him.”

¹⁷ For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, ^(A)“This is my beloved Son,^[a] with whom I am well pleased,”

¹⁷ and behold, ^(A)a voice from heaven said, ^(B)“This is my beloved Son,^[a] with whom I am well pleased.”

³⁴ As he was saying these things, ^(A)a cloud came and overshadowed them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. ³⁵ And ^(B)a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, ^(C)my Chosen One;^{[a] (D)}listen to him!” ³⁶ And when the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. ^(E)And they kept silent and told no one in those days anything of what they had seen.

¹¹ And ^(A)a voice came from heaven, ^(B)“You are my beloved Son;^[a] with you I am well pleased.”

⁷ Behold, ^(A)he is coming with the clouds, and ^(B)every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail^[a] on account of him. Even so. Amen.

¹¹ And this is the testimony, that God gave us ^(A)eternal life, and ^(B)this life is in his Son. ^12 (C)Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

Warning Against Neglecting Salvation

2 Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.

²² Moses said, ‘The Lord God will raise up for you ^(A)a prophet like me from your brothers. You shall listen ^(B)to him in whatever he tells you. ²³ And it shall be that every soul who does not listen to that prophet ^(C)shall be destroyed from the people.’
