²⁵ When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He ^(A)rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!”

¹⁸ And this she did for many days.

But Paul, ^(A)greatly ^[a]annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” ^(B)And he came out that very hour.

⁴² And as he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed him. Then Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the child, and gave him back to his father.

¹⁵ Immediately, when they saw Him, all the people were greatly amazed, and running to Him, greeted Him.

¹⁸ And Jesus ^(A)rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour.

⁹ Yet Michael the archangel, in ^[a]contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, ^(A)“The Lord rebuke you!”

A House Divided Cannot Stand^(A)

^14 (B)And He was casting out a demon, and it was mute. So it was, when the demon had gone out, that the mute spoke; and the multitudes marveled.

²⁹ For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For it had often seized him, and he was kept under guard, bound with chains and shackles; and he broke the bonds and was driven by the demon into the wilderness.

^41 (A)And demons also came out of many, crying out and saying, ^(B)“You are ^[a]the Christ, the Son of God!”

And He, ^(C)rebuking them, did not allow them to ^[b]speak, for they knew that He was the Christ.
