²⁷ He sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows; ^(A)he knows not how.

⁵ As you do not know the way ^(A)the spirit comes to ^(B)the bones in the womb^[a] of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.

Thanksgiving

^3 (A)We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers,^[a] as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.

³⁷ And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain. ³⁸ But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body.

¹⁷ then I saw all the work of God, that ^(A)man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun. However much man may toil in seeking, he will not find it out. Even though a wise man claims to know, ^(B)he cannot find it out.

¹⁸ But ^(A)grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. ^(B)To him be the glory both now and to the day of ^(C)eternity. Amen.

^7 (A)Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You^[a] must be born ^(B)again.’ ^8 (C)The wind^[b] blows ^(D)where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
