The Parable of the Seed Growing

²⁶ And he said, ^(A)“The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground.

The Parable of the Weeds

²⁴ He put another parable before them, saying, ^(A)“The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field,

^6 (A)I planted, ^(B)Apollos watered, ^(C)but God gave the growth. ⁷ So ^(D)neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. ⁸ He who plants and he who waters are one, and each ^(E)will receive his wages according to his labor. ⁹ For we are ^(F)God's fellow workers. You are God's field, ^(G)God's building.

^11 (A)Now the parable is this: The seed is ^(B)the word of God.

^23 (A)since you have been born again, ^(B)not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through ^(C)the living and abiding word of God; ²⁴ for

And this word ^(F)is the good news that was preached to you.

¹⁸ And ^(A)a harvest of righteousness ^(B)is sown in peace by those who make peace.

^5 (A)“A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell along the path and was trampled underfoot, and the birds of the air devoured it.

²⁴ Truly, truly, I say to you, ^(A)unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

³⁶ Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that ^(A)sower and ^(B)reaper ^(C)may rejoice together. ³⁷ For here the saying holds true, ^(D)‘One sows and another reaps.’ ³⁸ I sent you to reap ^(E)that for which you did not labor. Others have labored, ^(F)and you have entered into their labor.”
