³³ And he replied, “Who are my mother and my brothers?”

³ Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary^[a] and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon, and are not his sisters here with us?” And they took offense^[b] at him.^(A)

²¹ When his family heard it, they went out to restrain him, for people were saying, “He has gone out of his mind.”^(A)

¹⁶ From now on, therefore, we regard no one from a human point of view;^[a] even though we once knew Christ from a human point of view,^[b] we no longer know him in that way.^(A)

³ So his brothers said to him, “Leave here and go to Judea so that your disciples also may see the works you are doing,^{(A) 4} for no one who wants^[a] to be widely known acts in secret. If you do these things, show yourself to the world.” ⁵ (For not even his brothers believed in him.)^(B)

⁴ And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what concern is that to me and to you?^[a] My hour has not yet come.”^(A)

⁴⁹ He said to them, “Why were you searching for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?”^[a](A)
