^16 (A)He who believes and is baptized will be saved; ^(B)but he who does not believe will be condemned.

^36 (A)He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the ^(B)wrath of God abides on him.”

⁹ that ^(A)if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. ¹⁰ For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. ¹¹ For the Scripture says, ^(B)“Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” ¹² For ^(C)there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for ^(D)the same Lord over all ^(E)is rich to all who call upon Him. ¹³ For ^(F)“whoever calls ^(G)on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Israel Rejects the Gospel

¹⁴ How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear ^(H)without a preacher?

^18 (A)“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. ¹⁹ And this is the condemnation, ^(B)that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

²⁵ Jesus said to her, “I am ^(A)the resurrection and the life. ^(B)He who believes in Me, though he may ^(C)die, he shall live. ²⁶ And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

³⁸ Then Peter said to them, ^(A)“Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the ^[a]remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

¹⁵ that whoever ^(A)believes in Him should ^[a]not perish but ^(B)have eternal life. ^16 (C)For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten ^(D)Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

^24 (A)Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; ^(B)for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

Life and Judgment Are Through the Son

²⁴ “Most assuredly, I say to you, ^(A)he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, ^(B)but has passed from death into life.
