³ Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, ^(B)Peter, ^(C)James, ^(D)John, and ^(E)Andrew asked Him privately,

³⁴ But without a parable He did not speak to them. And when they were alone, ^(A)He explained all things to His disciples.

The Triumphal Entry^(A)

21 Now ^(B)when they drew near Jerusalem, and came to ^[a]Bethphage, at ^(C)the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,

⁴⁰ One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was ^(A)Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. ⁴¹ He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the ^[a]Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ).

³³ And He ^(A)took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be troubled and deeply distressed.

Greatness Is Serving^(A)

^35 (B)Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Him, saying, “Teacher, we want You to do for us whatever we ask.”

Jesus Transfigured on the Mount

^2 (A)Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up on a high mountain apart by themselves; and He was transfigured before them.

³⁷ And He permitted no one to follow Him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James.

Four Fishermen Called as Disciples^(A)

^16 (B)And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. ¹⁷ Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become ^(C)fishers of men.” ^18 (D)They immediately left their nets and followed Him.

¹⁹ When He had gone a little farther from there, He saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending their nets.
