⁴³ But ^(A)it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant,^{[a] 44} and whoever would be first among you must be ^(B)slave^[b] of all. ⁴⁵ For even the Son of Man came not to be served but ^(C)to serve, and ^(D)to give his life as a ransom for ^(E)many.”

¹³ For you were called to freedom, brothers. ^(A)Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love ^(B)serve one another. ¹⁴ For ^(C)the whole law is fulfilled in one word: ^(D)“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” ¹⁵ But if you ^(E)bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another.

^5 (A)Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,^{[a] 6 (B)}who, though he was in ^(C)the form of God, did not count equality with God ^(D)a thing to be grasped,^{[b] 7} but ^(E)emptied himself, by taking the form of a ^(F)servant,^{[c] (G)}being born in the likeness of men. ⁸ And being found in human form, he humbled himself by ^(H)becoming obedient to the point of death, ^(I)even death on a cross. ^9 (J)Therefore ^(K)God has ^(L)highly exalted him and bestowed on him ^(M)the name that is above every name, ¹⁰ so that at the name of Jesus ^(N)every knee should bow, ^(O)in heaven and on earth and under the earth, ¹¹ and ^(P)every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is ^(Q)Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

^10 (A)As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, ^(B)as good stewards of God's varied grace: ¹¹ whoever speaks, as one who speaks ^(C)oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves ^(D)by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything ^(E)God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. ^(F)To him belong glory and ^(G)dominion forever and ever.
