¹⁵ When they had ^(A)finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, ^(B)“Simon, ^(C)son of John, ^(D)do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed ^(E)my lambs.” ¹⁶ He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, ^(F)“Tend ^(G)my sheep.” ¹⁷ He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him ^(H)the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, ^(I)you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed ^(J)my sheep.

The Ascension

⁵⁰ And ^(A)he led them out as far as ^(B)Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. ⁵¹ While he blessed them, ^(C)he parted from them and was carried up into heaven.

²⁸ he took him up in his arms and ^(A)blessed God and said,

³³ And ^(J)his father and his mother marveled at what was said about him. ³⁴ And Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, “Behold, this child is appointed ^(K)for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign ^(L)that is opposed

³ Blessed shall you be in the city, and ^(A)blessed shall you be in the field.

^14 (A)And Israel stretched out his right hand and laid it on the head of Ephraim, who was the younger, and his left hand on the head of Manasseh, ^(B)crossing his hands (for Manasseh was the firstborn). ¹⁵ And he blessed Joseph and said,
