²³“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”^(A)

²⁴Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

²³Jesus said to the father, “Why did you say ‘if you can’? All things are possible for the one who believes.”

²⁴Immediately the father shouted, “I do believe. Help me to believe more!”

²³“What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”

²⁴The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!”

²³Jesus said, “If? There are no ‘ifs’ among believers. Anything can happen.”

²⁴No sooner were the words out of his mouth than the father cried, “Then I believe. Help me with my doubts!”
