The Abomination of Desolation and the Tribulation

¹⁴ “But ^(A)when you see the ^(B)abomination of desolation standing where it should not be (let the reader understand), then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.

²⁰ “But when you see Jerusalem ^(A)surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is at hand.

⁴⁸ If we let Him go on like this, all will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our ^(A)place and our nation.”

¹³ And they put forward ^(A)false witnesses who said, “This man never ceases speaking words against this ^(B)holy place and the Law; ¹⁴ for we have heard him say that ^(C)this Jesus the Nazarene will destroy this place and alter ^(D)the customs which Moses handed down to us.” ¹⁵ And fixing their gaze on him, all who were sitting in the ^(E)Sanhedrin saw his face like the face of an angel.

²⁸ crying out, “Men of Israel, help! ^(A)This is the man who teaches to everyone everywhere against our people and the Law and this place; and besides, he has even brought Greeks into the temple and has ^(B)defiled this holy place.”
