^11 (A)Now the parable is this: The seed is ^(B)the word of God.

^23 (A)since you have been born again, ^(B)not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through ^(C)the living and abiding word of God; ²⁴ for

And this word ^(F)is the good news that was preached to you.

^14 (A)The sower sows ^(B)the word. ¹⁵ And these are the ones along the path, where the word is sown: when they hear, Satan immediately comes and takes away the word that is sown in them. ¹⁶ And these are the ones sown on rocky ground: the ones who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it ^(C)with joy. ¹⁷ And they have no root in themselves, but ^(D)endure for a while; then, when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately ^(E)they fall away.^{[a] 18} And others are the ones sown among thorns. They are those who hear the word, ¹⁹ but ^(F)the cares of ^(G)the world and ^(H)the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. ²⁰ But those that were sown on the good soil are the ones who hear the word and accept it and ^(I)bear fruit, ^(J)thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.”

¹⁹ When anyone hears the word of ^(A)the kingdom and ^(B)does not understand it, ^(C)the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path.

²¹ Therefore ^(A)put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with ^(B)meekness the implanted word, ^(C)which is able to save your souls.

⁹ For we are ^(A)God's fellow workers. You are God's field, ^(B)God's building.

^10 (C)According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled^[a] master builder I laid a ^(D)foundation, and ^(E)someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. ¹¹ For no one can lay a ^(F)foundation other ^(G)than that which is laid, ^(H)which is Jesus Christ. ¹² Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw—

^6 (A)I planted, ^(B)Apollos watered, ^(C)but God gave the growth. ⁷ So ^(D)neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.

^20 (A)To the teaching and to the testimony! If they will not speak according to this word, it is because they have no ^(B)dawn.
