³⁸ the son of Enos, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.

⁷ then the Lord God formed the man of ^(A)dust from the ground and ^(B)breathed into his ^(C)nostrils the breath of life, and ^(D)the man became a living creature.

^47 (A)The first man was from the earth, ^(B)a man of dust; ^(C)the second man is from heaven.

⁴⁵ Thus it is written, ^(A)“The first man Adam became a living being”;^{[a] (B)}the last Adam became a ^(C)life-giving spirit.

^29 (J)Being then God's offspring, ^(K)we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man.

²⁵ And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and called his name Seth, for she said, “God has appointed^[a] for me another offspring instead of Abel, for Cain killed him.” ²⁶ To ^(A)Seth also a son was born, and he called his name ^(B)Enosh. At that time people began ^(C)to call upon the name of the Lord.

Adam's Descendants to Noah

5 This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, ^(D)he made him in the likeness of God. ² Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them Man^[b] when they were created. ³ When Adam had lived 130 years, he fathered a son in his own likeness, after his image, and ^(E)named him Seth.

²⁶ Then God said, ^(A)“Let us make man^[a] in our image, ^(B)after our likeness. And ^(C)let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
