36 And there was a (A)prophetess, [a]Anna the daughter of Phanuel, of (B)the tribe of Asher. She was advanced in [b]years (C)having lived with her husband seven years from when she was a virgin, 37 and then as a widow to the age of eighty-four. She never left the temple, serving night and day with (D)fastings and prayers. 38 And at that very [c]moment she came up and began giving thanks to God, and continued to speak of Him to all those who were (E)waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem.

She was of a great age, having lived with her husband seven years after her marriage,(A) 37 then as a widow to the age of eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped there with fasting and prayer night and day.(B) 38 At that moment she came and began to praise God and to speak about the child[a] to all who were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem.(C)
