³⁶ The soldiers also mocked him, coming up and ^(A)offering him sour wine ³⁷ and saying, ^(B)“If you are ^(C)the King of the Jews, save yourself!” ^38 (D)There was also an inscription over him,^[a] “This is ^(E)the King of the Jews.”

^39 (F)One of the criminals who were hanged ^(G)railed at him,^[b] saying, “Are you not ^(H)the Christ? Save yourself and us!”
