The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age^(A)

⁷ So they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?”

⁶ Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” ⁷ And He said to them, ^(A)“It is not for you to ^(B)know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.

The Great Tribulation^(A)

^14 (B)“So when you see the ^(C)‘abomination of desolation,’ ^[a]spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not” (let the reader understand), “then ^(D)let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

The Destruction of Jerusalem^(A)

^20 (B)“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. ²¹ Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her.

³ Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, ^(B)Peter, ^(C)James, ^(D)John, and ^(E)Andrew asked Him privately, ^4 (F)“Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?”

²¹ Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, “But Lord, what about this man?”

²² Jesus said to him, “If I ^[a]will that he remain ^(A)till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.”

³² Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place.

²⁷ Then they will see the Son of Man ^(A)coming in a cloud with power and great glory. ²⁸ Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because ^(B)your redemption draws near.”
