⁶ So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.

²⁹ Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors^(A) and others were eating with them.

³⁴ The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he^(A) was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole household.

¹⁵ When she and the members of her household^(A) were baptized,^(B) she invited us to her home. “If you consider me a believer in the Lord,” she said, “come and stay at my house.” And she persuaded us.

¹⁵ But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb^(A) and called me^(B) by his grace, was pleased ¹⁶ to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles,^(C) my immediate response was not to consult any human being.^(D)

⁴¹ Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number^(A) that day.

¹⁶ So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger.^(A)

⁶ So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah. “Quick,” he said, “get three seahs^[a] of the finest flour and knead it and bake some bread.”^(A)

⁷ Then he ran to the herd and selected a choice, tender calf^(B) and gave it to a servant, who hurried to prepare it.
