¹⁰ “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much,^(A) and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.

¹¹ So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth,^(A) who will trust you with true riches? ¹² And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?

²¹ “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.^(A) Come and share your master’s happiness!’

¹⁷ “‘Well done, my good servant!’^(A) his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’^(B)

²³ “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.^(A) Come and share your master’s happiness!’

² He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God’s house.^(A)

⁶ He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag,^(A) he used to help himself to what was put into it.

²⁷ As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him.^(A)

So Jesus told him, “What you are about to do, do quickly.”

² The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus.^(A)
