39 (A)And Nicodemus, who had first come to Him by night, also came, (B)bringing a [a]mixture of (C)myrrh and aloes, weighing about [b]one (D)hundred litras. 40 So they took the body of Jesus and (E)bound it in (F)linen wrappings with the spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews. 41 Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a (G)new tomb (H)in which no one had yet been laid. 42 Therefore because of the Jewish day of (I)Preparation, since the tomb was (J)nearby, they laid Jesus there.

New International Version
39 He was accompanied by Nicodemus,(A) the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night. Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds.[a] 40 Taking Jesus’ body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips of linen.(B) This was in accordance with Jewish burial customs.(C) 41 At the place where Jesus was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb, in which no one had ever been laid. 42 Because it was the Jewish day of Preparation(D) and since the tomb was nearby,(E) they laid Jesus there.
