The Law and the Kingdom of God
14 (A)The Pharisees, who were (B)lovers of money, heard all these things, and they (C)ridiculed him. 15 And he said to them, “You are those who (D)justify yourselves before men, but (E)God knows your hearts. For what is exalted among men (F)is an abomination in the sight of God.
16 (G)“The Law and the Prophets were until John; since then (H)the good news of the kingdom of God is preached, and (I)everyone forces his way into it.[a] 17 But (J)it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one dot of the Law to become void.

18 (K)“Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.

14 The Pharisees, who loved money,(A) heard all this and were sneering at Jesus.(B) 15 He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves(C) in the eyes of others, but God knows your hearts.(D) What people value highly is detestable in God’s sight.
