17 And the seventy returned back again with joy, saying, Lord, even the very devils are subject to us through your name! 18 And he said to them, I saw Satan, like lightning as it were, fall down from heaven. 19 Behold, I give to you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all manner of power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. 20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are under your power, but rejoice because your names are written in heaven.

17 The seventy-two(A) returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”(B)
18 He replied, “I saw Satan(C) fall like lightning from heaven.(D) 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes(E) and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”(F)
