Gesetzlichkeit oder Liebe? (Matthäus 12,1‒14; Markus 2,23–3,6)
6 An einem Sabbat ging Jesus mit seinen Jüngern durch die Getreidefelder. Die Jünger rissen einzelne Ähren ab, zerrieben sie zwischen den Händen und aßen die Körner. 2 Da beschwerten sich einige Pharisäer: »Was tut ihr da? Das ist am Sabbat doch gar nicht erlaubt!«
3 Darauf antwortete Jesus: »Habt ihr denn nie gelesen, was König David tat, als er und seine Männer hungrig waren? 4 Er ging in das Haus Gottes und aß mit ihnen von dem Brot, das Gott geweiht war und das nur die Priester essen durften.«[a] 5 Und Jesus fügte hinzu: »Der Menschensohn ist Herr über den Sabbat. Er kann somit entscheiden, was am Sabbat erlaubt ist.«
6 Als Jesus an einem anderen Sabbat in die Synagoge ging und lehrte, war dort ein Mann, dessen rechte Hand verkrüppelt war. 7 Die Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer beobachteten aufmerksam, wie Jesus sich verhalten würde. Sollte er es nämlich wagen, auch am Sabbat zu heilen, so könnten sie Anklage gegen ihn erheben. 8 Jesus wusste, was sie dachten. Er rief dem Mann mit der verkrüppelten Hand zu: »Steh auf und stell dich in die Mitte, damit alle dich sehen können!« Der Mann stand auf und trat vor.
9 Nun wandte sich Jesus an die Pharisäer und Schriftgelehrten: »Ich will euch etwas fragen: Soll man am Sabbat Gutes tun oder Böses? Soll man das Leben eines Menschen retten oder soll man ihn zugrunde gehen lassen?« 10 Jesus sah einen nach dem anderen an. Schließlich sagte er zu dem Mann: »Streck deine Hand aus!« Er tat es, und die Hand war gesund.
11 Die Pharisäer und Schriftgelehrten aber packte eine sinnlose Wut. Sie berieten miteinander, was sie gegen Jesus unternehmen könnten.
Die zwölf Apostel (Matthäus 10,1‒4; Markus 3,13‒19)
12 In dieser Zeit verließ Jesus die Stadt und stieg auf einen Berg, um zu beten. Die ganze Nacht hindurch sprach er im Gebet mit Gott. 13 Als es hell wurde, rief er seine Jünger zu sich und wählte zwölf von ihnen aus, die er Apostel nannte. 14 Es waren Simon, dem er den Namen Petrus gab, und Simons Bruder Andreas; dann Jakobus und Johannes, Philippus, Bartholomäus, 15 Matthäus, Thomas und Jakobus, der Sohn von Alphäus; sowie Simon, der ehemalige Freiheitskämpfer, 16 Judas, der Sohn von Jakobus, und Judas Iskariot, der Jesus später verriet.
Jesus heilt alle, die zu ihm kommen (Matthäus 4,23‒25; Markus 3,7‒12)
17 Als Jesus mit seinen Jüngern den Berg hinuntergestiegen war, kamen sie zu einem ebenen Platz. Hier hatte sich eine große Anzahl seiner Jünger versammelt und dazu noch eine riesige Menschenmenge. Die Leute waren aus dem ganzen Land gekommen, auch aus Jerusalem und aus den Hafenstädten Tyrus und Sidon. 18 Sie wollten Jesus hören und von ihren Krankheiten geheilt werden. Alle, die von bösen Geistern beherrscht waren, wurden befreit. 19 Jeder versuchte, Jesus zu berühren; denn von ihm ging eine Kraft aus, die sie alle heilte.
Wer darf sich glücklich nennen? (Matthäus 5,1‒12)
20 Jesus blickte seine Jünger an und sagte:
»Glücklich seid ihr Armen,
denn euch gehört Gottes Reich.
21 Glücklich seid ihr, die ihr jetzt hungern müsst,
denn ihr sollt satt werden.
Glücklich seid ihr, die ihr jetzt weint,
denn ihr werdet lachen!
22 Glücklich schätzen könnt ihr euch,
wenn euch die Menschen hassen und aus ihrer Gemeinschaft ausschließen,
wenn sie euch verachten und Schlechtes über euch erzählen,
nur weil ihr zum Menschensohn gehört.
23 Dann freut euch! Ja, ihr könnt jubeln, denn im Himmel werdet ihr dafür reich belohnt werden. So wie die Leute mit euch umgehen, so haben es ihre Vorfahren auch schon mit den Propheten gemacht.
24 Doch wehe euch, ihr Reichen!
Ihr habt euer Glück schon auf Erden genossen.[b]
25 Wehe euch, die ihr jetzt satt seid!
Ihr werdet Hunger leiden.
Wehe euch, die ihr jetzt sorglos lacht!
Ihr werdet trauern und weinen.
26 Wehe euch, die ihr jetzt von allen Leuten umschmeichelt werdet,
denn so haben es ihre Vorfahren auch schon mit den falschen Propheten gemacht.«
Liebe deine Feinde! (Matthäus 5,38‒48)
27 »Euch aber, die ihr mir wirklich zuhört, sage ich: Liebt eure Feinde und tut denen Gutes, die euch hassen. 28 Bittet Gott um seinen Segen für die Menschen, die euch Böses tun, und betet für alle, die euch beleidigen.
29 Wenn jemand dir eine Ohrfeige gibt, dann halte die andere Wange auch noch hin. Wenn dir einer den Mantel wegnimmt, dann weigere dich nicht, ihm auch noch das Hemd zu geben.
30 Gib jedem, der dich um etwas bittet, und fordere nicht zurück, was man dir genommen hat.
31 Behandelt die Menschen so, wie ihr von ihnen behandelt werden möchtet. 32 Oder wollt ihr etwa noch dafür belohnt werden, dass ihr die Menschen liebt, die euch auch lieben? Das tun selbst die Leute, die von Gott nichts wissen wollen. 33 Ist es etwas Besonderes, denen Gutes zu tun, die auch zu euch gut sind? Das können auch Menschen, die Gott ablehnen. 34 Und was ist schon dabei, Leuten Geld zu leihen, von denen man genau weiß, dass sie es zurückzahlen? Dazu braucht man nichts von Gott zu wissen.
35 Ihr aber sollt eure Feinde lieben und den Menschen Gutes tun. Ihr sollt anderen etwas leihen, ohne es zurückzuerwarten. Dann werdet ihr reich belohnt werden: Ihr werdet Kinder des Höchsten sein. Denn auch er ist gütig zu Undankbaren und Bösen. 36 Seid barmherzig, wie euer Vater im Himmel barmherzig ist!«
Verurteilt niemanden! (Matthäus 7,1‒5)
37 »Urteilt nicht über andere, dann wird Gott euch auch nicht verurteilen! Richtet keinen Menschen, dann werdet auch ihr nicht gerichtet werden! Wenn ihr vergebt, dann wird auch euch vergeben. 38 Gebt, was ihr habt, dann werdet ihr so überreich beschenkt werden, dass ihr gar nicht alles aufnehmen könnt. Mit dem Maßstab, den ihr an andere anlegt, wird man auch euch messen.«
39 Jesus gebrauchte einen Vergleich und sagte: »Wie kann ein Blinder einen anderen Blinden führen? Werden sie nicht beide in die Grube fallen? 40 Ein Schüler steht nicht über seinem Lehrer. Im besten Fall kann er werden wie sein Lehrer, wenn er alles von ihm gelernt hat.
41 Warum siehst du jeden kleinen Splitter im Auge deines Mitmenschen, aber den Balken in deinem eigenen Auge bemerkst du nicht? 42 Wie kannst du zu ihm sagen: ›Mein Freund, komm her! Ich will dir den Splitter aus dem Auge ziehen!‹, und dabei erkennst du nicht, dass du selbst einen Balken in deinem Auge hast! Du Heuchler! Entferne zuerst den Balken aus deinem Auge, dann kannst du klar sehen, um auch den Splitter aus dem Auge deines Mitmenschen zu ziehen.«
An den Früchten erkennt man den Baum (Matthäus 7,15‒20; 12,33‒35)
43 »Ein guter Baum trägt keine schlechten Früchte und ein schlechter Baum keine guten. 44 So erkennt man jeden Baum an seinen Früchten. Von Dornbüschen kann man keine Feigen pflücken und von Gestrüpp keine Weintrauben.
45 Wenn ein guter Mensch spricht, zeigt sich, was er Gutes in seinem Herzen trägt. Doch ein Mensch mit einem bösen Herzen kann auch nur Böses von sich geben. Denn wovon das Herz erfüllt ist, das spricht der Mund aus!«
Ein festes Fundament (Matthäus 7,24‒27)
46 »Warum nennt ihr mich dauernd ›Herr!‹, wenn ihr doch nicht tut, was ich euch sage? 47 Wisst ihr, mit wem ich einen Menschen vergleiche, der zu mir kommt, meine Worte hört und danach handelt? 48 Er ist wie ein Mann, der sich ein Haus bauen wollte. Zuerst hob er eine tiefe Baugrube aus. Dann legte er die Fundamente seines Hauses auf felsigen Grund. Als aber ein Hochwasser kam und die Fluten gegen das Haus brandeten, konnten sie keinen Schaden anrichten, denn das Haus war gut und stabil gebaut.
49 Wer sich meine Worte allerdings nur anhört und nicht danach lebt, der ist wie einer, der auf das Fundament verzichtet und sein Haus direkt auf die Erde baut. Bei einem Hochwasser unterspülen die Fluten sein Haus, und es wird mit einem Mal einstürzen; kein Stein wird auf dem anderen bleiben.«

Jesus ist Herr über den Sabbat
6 Es begab sich aber, daß er am zweiten[a] Sabbat durch die Saat ging; und seine Jünger streiften Ähren ab, zerrieben sie mit den Händen und aßen sie. 2 Da sagten etliche von den Pharisäern zu ihnen: Warum tut ihr, was am Sabbat nicht erlaubt ist?
3 Und Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Habt ihr das nie gelesen, was David tat, als ihn und seine Gefährten hungerte? 4 Wie er in das Haus Gottes hineinging und die Schaubrote nahm und aß und auch seinen Gefährten davon gab; welche doch niemand essen darf, als nur die Priester? 5 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Des Menschen Sohn ist auch Herr des Sabbats.
Heilung am Sabbat: der Mann mit der verdorrten Hand
6 Es begab sich aber an einem andern Sabbat, daß er in eine Synagoge ging und lehrte; und daselbst war ein Mensch, dessen rechte Hand verdorrt war. 7 Aber die Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer gaben acht auf ihn, ob er am Sabbat heilen würde, um einen Grund zur Anklage wider ihn zu finden. 8 Er aber merkte ihre Gedanken und sprach zu dem Menschen, der die verdorrte Hand hatte: Steh auf und stelle dich in die Mitte! Und er stand auf und stellte sich dahin.
9 Da sprach Jesus zu ihnen: Ich frage euch: Ist es erlaubt, am Sabbat Gutes zu tun oder Böses zu tun, das Leben zu retten oder zu verderben? 10 Und indem er sie alle ringsumher ansah, sprach er zu ihm: Strecke deine Hand aus! Der aber tat es, und seine Hand wurde wieder gesund, wie die andere.
11 Sie aber wurden ganz unsinnig und besprachen sich miteinander, was sie doch Jesus antun könnten.
Wahl der zwölf Apostel
12 Es begab sich aber in diesen Tagen, daß er hinausging auf den Berg, um zu beten, und er verharrte die Nacht hindurch im Gebet zu Gott. 13 Und als es Tag geworden, rief er seine Jünger herzu und erwählte aus ihnen zwölf, die er auch Apostel nannte:
14 Simon, den er auch Petrus nannte, und dessen Bruder Andreas, Jakobus und Johannes, Philippus und Bartholomäus, 15 Matthäus und Thomas, Jakobus, den Sohn des Alphäus, und Simon, genannt Zelotes[b], 16 Judas, den Sohn des Jakobus, und Judas Ischariot, der zum Verräter wurde.
Die Bergpredigt
17 Und er stieg mit ihnen hinab und stellte sich auf einen ebenen Platz mit einer großen Schar seiner Jünger und einer großen Menge Volkes aus ganz Judäa und von Jerusalem und von der Meeresküste, von Tyrus und Zidon, die gekommen waren, um ihn zu hören und geheilt zu werden von ihren Krankheiten; 18 und die, welche von unreinen Geistern geplagt waren, wurden geheilt. 19 Und alles Volk suchte ihn anzurühren, denn Kraft ging von ihm aus und heilte alle.
20 Und er hob seine Augen auf über seine Jünger und sprach: Selig seid ihr Armen; denn das Reich Gottes ist euer!
21 Selig seid ihr, die ihr jetzt hungert; denn ihr sollt gesättigt werden! Selig seid ihr, die ihr jetzt weinet; denn ihr werdet lachen!
22 Selig seid ihr, wenn euch die Menschen hassen, und wenn sie euch ausschließen und schmähen und euren Namen als einen lasterhaften verwerfen um des Menschensohnes willen.
23 Freuet euch alsdann und hüpfet! Denn siehe, euer Lohn ist groß im Himmel. Denn ebenso haben ihre Väter den Propheten getan.
24 Aber wehe euch, ihr Reichen, denn ihr habt euren Trost dahin!
25 Wehe euch, die ihr jetzt satt seid; denn ihr werdet hungern! Wehe euch, die ihr jetzt lachet, denn ihr werdet trauern und weinen!
26 Wehe euch, wenn alle Leute wohl von euch reden! Ebenso taten ihre Väter den falschen Propheten.
Liebe für die Feinde
27 Euch aber, die ihr zuhöret, sage ich: Liebet eure Feinde, tut wohl denen, die euch hassen; 28 segnet, die euch fluchen, und bittet für die, welche euch beleidigen! 29 Dem, der dich auf den Backen schlägt, biete auch den andern dar, und dem, der dir den Mantel nimmt, verweigere auch den Rock nicht. 30 Gib jedem, der dich bittet, und von dem, der dir das Deine nimmt, fordere es nicht zurück. 31 Und wie ihr wollt, daß euch die Leute tun sollen, tut auch ihr ihnen gleicherweise.
32 Und wenn ihr die liebet, die euch lieben, was für eine Gnade habt ihr[c]? Denn auch die Sünder lieben ihre Liebhaber. 33 Und wenn ihr euren Wohltätern Gutes tut, was für eine Gnade habt ihr? Denn auch die Sünder tun dasselbe. 34 Und wenn ihr denen leihet, von welchen ihr wieder zu empfangen hoffet, was für eine Gnade habt ihr? Denn auch die Sünder leihen den Sündern, um das Gleiche wieder zu empfangen. 35 Vielmehr liebet eure Feinde und tut Gutes und leihet, ohne etwas dafür zu erhoffen; so wird euer Lohn groß sein, und ihr werdet Kinder des Höchsten sein; denn er ist gütig gegen die Undankbaren und Bösen. 36 Darum seid barmherzig, wie auch euer Vater barmherzig ist.
Gewagtes Richten - Blinder Blindenführer - Splitter und Balken
37 Und richtet nicht, so werdet ihr nicht gerichtet; verurteilet nicht, so werdet ihr nicht verurteilt; sprechet los, so werdet ihr losgesprochen werden!
38 Gebet, so wird euch gegeben werden; ein gutes, vollgedrücktes, gerütteltes und überfließendes Maß wird man euch in den Schoß geben. Denn mit eben dem Maße, mit welchem ihr messet, wird euch wieder gemessen werden.
39 Er sagte ihnen aber ein Gleichnis: Kann auch ein Blinder einen Blinden führen? Werden nicht beide in die Grube fallen?
40 Der Jünger ist nicht über dem Meister; wenn er aber ganz vollendet ist, so wird er sein wie sein Meister.
41 Was siehst du aber den Splitter in deines Bruders Auge, den Balken aber in deinem eigenen Auge bemerkst du nicht? 42 Oder wie kannst du zu deinem Bruder sagen: Bruder, halt, ich will den Splitter herausziehen, der in deinem Auge ist, während du doch den Balken in deinem Auge nicht siehst? Du Heuchler, ziehe zuerst den Balken aus deinem Auge, und dann magst du sehen, wie du den Splitter herausziehst, der in deines Bruders Auge ist!
Der Baum und die Früchte
43 Denn es gibt keinen guten Baum, der schlechte Frucht bringt, noch einen schlechten Baum, der gute Frucht bringt. 44 Denn jeder Baum wird an seiner Frucht erkannt; denn von Dornen sammelt man keine Feigen, und vom Dornbusch liest man keine Trauben. 45 Der gute Mensch bringt aus dem guten Schatze seines Herzens das Gute hervor, und der böse Mensch bringt aus dem bösen [Schatze seines Herzens] das Böse hervor. Denn wes das Herz voll ist, des geht sein Mund über.
Der kluge und der törichte Baumeister
46 Was heißet ihr mich aber „Herr, Herr“ und tut nicht, was ich sage? 47 Jeder, der zu mir kommt und meine Worte hört und sie tut, ich will euch zeigen, wem er gleich ist. 48 Er ist einem Menschen gleich, der ein Haus baute und dazu tief grub und den Grund auf den Felsen legte. Als nun eine Überschwemmung entstand, da prallte der Strom an dieses Haus und vermochte es nicht zu erschüttern, weil es gut gegründet war.
49 Wer aber hört und nicht tut, der ist einem Menschen gleich, der ein Haus auf das Erdreich baute ohne Grund; und der Strom prallte an dasselbe, und es brach sofort zusammen, und der Zusammenbruch dieses Hauses war groß.

Jesus Is Lord of the Sabbath(A)
6 One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and his disciples began to pick some heads of grain, rub them in their hands and eat the kernels.(B) 2 Some of the Pharisees asked, “Why are you doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”(C)
3 Jesus answered them, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?(D) 4 He entered the house of God, and taking the consecrated bread, he ate what is lawful only for priests to eat.(E) And he also gave some to his companions.” 5 Then Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man(F) is Lord of the Sabbath.”
6 On another Sabbath(G) he went into the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was shriveled. 7 The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely(H) to see if he would heal on the Sabbath.(I) 8 But Jesus knew what they were thinking(J) and said to the man with the shriveled hand, “Get up and stand in front of everyone.” So he got up and stood there.
9 Then Jesus said to them, “I ask you, which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?”
10 He looked around at them all, and then said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He did so, and his hand was completely restored. 11 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law were furious(K) and began to discuss with one another what they might do to Jesus.
The Twelve Apostles(L)
12 One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.(M) 13 When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles:(N) 14 Simon (whom he named Peter), his brother Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, 15 Matthew,(O) Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Simon who was called the Zealot, 16 Judas son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.
Blessings and Woes(P)
17 He went down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of his disciples was there and a great number of people from all over Judea, from Jerusalem, and from the coastal region around Tyre and Sidon,(Q) 18 who had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. Those troubled by impure spirits were cured, 19 and the people all tried to touch him,(R) because power was coming from him and healing them all.(S)
20 Looking at his disciples, he said:
“Blessed are you who are poor,
for yours is the kingdom of God.(T)
21 Blessed are you who hunger now,
for you will be satisfied.(U)
Blessed are you who weep now,
for you will laugh.(V)
22 Blessed are you when people hate you,
when they exclude you(W) and insult you(X)
and reject your name as evil,
because of the Son of Man.(Y)
23 “Rejoice in that day and leap for joy,(Z) because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets.(AA)
24 “But woe to you who are rich,(AB)
for you have already received your comfort.(AC)
25 Woe to you who are well fed now,
for you will go hungry.(AD)
Woe to you who laugh now,
for you will mourn and weep.(AE)
26 Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you,
for that is how their ancestors treated the false prophets.(AF)
Love for Enemies(AG)
27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,(AH) 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.(AI) 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.(AJ) 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.(AK)
32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?(AL) Even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you?(AM) Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. 35 But love your enemies, do good to them,(AN) and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children(AO) of the Most High,(AP) because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36 Be merciful,(AQ) just as your Father(AR) is merciful.
Judging Others(AS)
37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged.(AT) Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.(AU) 38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.(AV) For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”(AW)
39 He also told them this parable: “Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into a pit?(AX) 40 The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher.(AY)
41 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 42 How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
A Tree and Its Fruit(AZ)
43 “No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 Each tree is recognized by its own fruit.(BA) People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. 45 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.(BB)
The Wise and Foolish Builders(BC)
46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’(BD) and do not do what I say?(BE) 47 As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice,(BF) I will show you what they are like. 48 They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. 49 But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.”

2 Datapuwa't sinabi ng ilan sa mga Fariseo, (B)Bakit ginagawa ninyo ang di matuwid gawin sa araw ng sabbath?
3 At pagsagot sa kanila ni Jesus ay sinabi, Hindi baga nabasa ninyo ang ginawa ni David, nang siya'y magutom, siya, at ang mga kasamahan niya;
4 Kung paanong siya'y pumasok sa bahay ng Dios, at kumain ng mga tinapay na handog, at binigyan pati ang kaniyang mga kasamahan; na hindi naaayon sa kautusan na kanin ninoman kundi ng mga saserdote lamang?
5 At sinabi niya sa kanila, Ang Anak ng tao ay panginoon ng sabbath.
6 At (C)nangyari nang ibang sabbath, na siya'y pumasok sa sinagoga at nagturo: at doo'y may isang lalake, at (D)tuyo ang kaniyang kanang kamay.
7 At (E)inaabangan siya ng mga eskriba at ng mga Fariseo, kung siya'y magpapagaling sa sabbath; upang makasumpong sila ng paraan na siya'y maisakdal.
8 Datapuwa't (F)nalalaman niya ang kanilang mga kaisipan; at sinabi niya sa lalake na tuyo ang kamay, Magtindig ka at tumayo ka sa gitna. At siya'y nagtindig at tumayo.
9 At sinabi sa kanila ni Jesus, Itinatanong ko sa inyo, Matuwid bagang gumawa ng magaling, o gumawa ng masama kung sabbath? magligtas ng isang buhay o pumuksa?
10 At (G)minamasdan niya silang lahat sa palibotlibot, at sinabi sa kaniya, Iunat mo ang iyong kamay. At ginawa niyang gayon; at gumaling ang kaniyang kamay.
11 Datapuwa't sila'y nangapuno ng galit; at (H)nangagsangusapan, kung ano ang kanilang magagawang laban kay Jesus.
12 At nangyari nang mga araw na ito, (I)na siya'y napasa bundok upang manalangin; at sa buong magdamag ay nanatili siya sa pananalangin sa Dios.
13 At nang araw na, ay (J)tinawag niya ang kaniyang mga alagad; (K)at siya'y humirang ng labingdalawa sa kanila, na tinawag naman niyang mga apostol:
14 Si Simon, na tinawag naman niyang Pedro, at si Andres na kaniyang kapatid, at si Santiago at si Juan, at si Felipe at si Bartolome.
15 At si Mateo at si Tomas, at si Santiago anak ni Alfeo, at si Simon, na tinatawag na (L)Masikap,
16 At (M)si Judas na anak ni Santiago, at si Judas Iscariote na naging lilo;
17 At bumaba siya na kasama nila, at tumigil (N)sa isang patag na dako, at ang lubhang marami sa mga alagad niya, at ang (O)lubhang malaking bilang ng mga tao mula sa buong Judea at sa Jerusalem, at sa pangpangin ng dagat ng (P)Tiro at Sidon, na nangagsidalo upang magsipakinig sa kaniya, at upang pagalingin sa kanilang mga sakit;
18 Ang mga pinahihirapan ng mga espiritung karumaldumal ay pinagagaling.
19 At pinagpipilitan ng buong karamihan na siya'y mahipo; sapagka't (Q)lumalabas sa kaniya ang makapangyarihang bisa, at nagpapagaling sa lahat.
20 At itiningin niya ang kaniyang mga mata sa kaniyang mga alagad, at sinabi, (R)Mapapalad kayong mga dukha: sapagka't inyo ang kaharian ng Dios.
21 Mapapalad kayong nangagugutom ngayon: sapagka't kayo'y bubusugin. Mapapalad kayong nagsisitangis ngayon: sapagka't kayo'y magsisitawa.
22 Mapapalad kayo kung kayo'y kapootan ng mga tao, at kung (S)kayo'y ihiwalay nila, at kayo'y alimurahin, at itakuwil ang inyong pangalan na tila masasama, dahil sa Anak ng tao.
23 Mangagalak kayo sa araw na yaon, at magsilukso kayo sa kagalakan; sapagka't narito, ang ganti sa inyo'y malaki sa langit; sapagka't sa gayon ding paraan ang ginawa ng kanilang mga magulang sa mga propeta.
24 Datapuwa't sa aba ninyong (T)mayayaman! sapagka't (U)tinanggap na ninyo ang inyong kaaliwan.
25 Sa aba ninyo (V)mga busog ngayon! sapagka't kayo'y mangagugutom. Sa aba ninyong nagsisitawa ngayon! sapagka't kayo'y magsisitaghoy at magsisitangis.
26 Sa aba ninyo, (W)pagka ang lahat ng mga tao ay mangagsalita ng magaling tungkol sa inyo! sapagka't sa gayon ding paraan ang ginawa ng kanilang mga magulang sa mga bulaang propeta.
27 Datapuwa't sinasabi ko sa inyong nangakikinig, (X)Ibigin ninyo ang inyong mga kaaway, gawan ninyo ng mabuti ang nangapopoot sa inyo,
28 Pagpalain ninyo ang sa inyo'y sumusumpa at ipanalangin ninyo ang sa inyo'y lumalait.
29 (Y)Sa sumampal sa iyo sa isang pisngi, iharap mo naman ang kabila; (Z)at ang sa iyo'y magalis ng iyong balabal, huwag mong itanggi pati ng iyong tunika.
30 Bigyan mo ang bawa't sa iyo'y humihingi; at sa kumuha ng pagaari mo, ay huwag mong hinging muli.
31 At (AA)kung ano ang ibig ninyong sa inyo'y gawin ng mga tao, gayon din ang gawin ninyo sa kanila.
32 At kung kayo'y magsiibig sa mga nagsisiibig sa inyo, anong pasasalamat ang inyong kakamtin? sapagka't ang mga makasalanan man (AB)ay nagsisiibig sa nagsisiibig sa kanila.
33 At kung magsigawa kayo ng mabuti sa nagsisigawa sa inyo ng mabuti, anong pasasalamat ang inyong kakamtin? sapagka't ganito rin ang ginagawa ng mga makasalanan.
34 At kung kayo'y mangagpahiram (AC)doon sa mga inaasahan ninyong may tatanggapin, anong pasasalamat ang inyong kakamtin? ang mga makasalanan man ay nangagpapahiram sa mga makasalanan, upang muling magsitanggap ng gayon din.
35 Datapuwa't ibigin ninyo ang inyong mga kaaway at gawan ninyo sila ng mabuti, at mangagpahiram kayo, na kailan man ay huwag mawawalan ng pagasa; at malaki ang sa inyo'y magiging ganti, at (AD)kayo'y magiging mga anak ng (AE)Kataastaasan: sapagka't siya'y magandang-loob sa mga walang turing at sa masasama.
36 Magmaawain kayo, gaya naman ng inyong Ama na maawain.
37 At huwag kayong mangagsihatol, (AF)at hindi kayo hahatulan: at huwag kayong mangagparusa, at hindi kayo parurusahan: mangagpalaya kayo, at kayo'y palalayain:
38 Mangagbigay kayo, at kayo'y bibigyan; takal na mabuti, pikpik, liglig, at umaapaw, ay ibibigay nila sa inyong (AG)kandungan. Sapagka't sa panukat na inyong isukat ay doon kayo muling susukatin.
39 At sinabi naman niya sa kanila ang isang talinghaga: (AH)Mangyayari bagang umakay ang bulag sa bulag? di baga sila mangabubulid kapuwa sa hukay?
40 (AI)Hindi higit ang alagad sa kaniyang guro: datapuwa't ang bawa't isa, pagka naging sakdal, ay nagiging katulad ng kaniyang guro.
41 At bakit mo tinitingnan ang puwing na nasa mata ng iyong kapatid, datapuwa't hindi mo pinupuna ang tahilan na nasa iyong sariling mata?
42 O paanong masasabi mo sa iyong kapatid, Kapatid, pabayaan mong alisin ko ang puwing na nasa iyong mata, kundi mo nakikita ang tahilan na nasa iyong sariling mata? Ikaw na mapagpaimbabaw, alisin mo muna ang tahilan na nasa iyong sariling mata, kung magkagayo'y makikita mong malinaw ang pagaalis ng puwing na nasa mata ng iyong kapatid.
43 Sapagka't walang mabuting punong kahoy (AJ)na nagbubunga ng masama; at wala rin naman masamang punong kahoy na nagbubunga ng mabuti.
44 Sapagka't (AK)bawa't punong kahoy ay nakikilala sa kaniyang sariling bunga. Sapagka't ang mga tao ay di nangakapuputi ng mga igos sa mga dawag, at di nangakapuputi ng ubas sa mga tinikan.
45 Ang mabuting tao ay kumukuha ng kagalingan (AL)sa mabubuting kayamanan ng kaniyang puso; at ang masamang tao'y kumukuha ng kasamaan sa masamang kayamanan: (AM)sapagka't sa kasaganaan ng puso ay nagsasalita ang kaniyang bibig.
46 At bakit tinatawag ninyo ako, Panginoon, (AN)Panginoon, at di ninyo ginagawa ang mga bagay na aking sinasabi?
47 Ang bawa't lumalapit sa akin, (AO)at pinakikinggan ang aking mga salita, at ginagawa, ituturo ko sa inyo kung sino ang katulad:
48 Siya'y tulad sa isang taong nagtatayo ng bahay, na humukay at pinakalalim, at inilagay ang patibayan sa bato: at nang dumating ang isang baha, ay hinampas ng agos ang bahay na yaon, at hindi nakilos; sapagka't natitirik na mabuti.
49 Datapuwa't ang dumirinig, at hindi ginagawa, ay tulad sa isang tao na nagtayo ng bahay sa lupa, (AP)na walang patibayan; laban sa yaon ay hinampas ng agos, at pagdaka'y nagiba; at malaki ang naging kasiraan ng bahay na yaon.

2 And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days?
3 And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungred, and they which were with him;
4 How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone?
5 And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
6 And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered.
7 And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him.
8 But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.
9 Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?
10 And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
11 And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.
12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;
14 Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,
15 Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes,
16 And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.
17 And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;
18 And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed.
19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.
20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.
21 Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.
22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
24 But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.
25 Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.
26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.
30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?
40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.
41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.
43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
