Ang Pagtawag sa mga Unang Alagad(A)
5 Samantalang si Jesus ay nakatayo sa baybay ng lawa ng Genesaret at habang nag-uunahang palapit sa kanya ang mga tao upang makinig sa salita ng Diyos, 2 nakita niya ang dalawang bangkang nakadaong sa tabi ng lawa. Wala na sa mga bangka ang mga mangingisda dahil naghuhugas na ng kanilang mga lambat. 3 Sinakyan niya ang bangka na pag-aari ni Simon. Hiniling niya kay Simon na sumagwan nang kaunti palayo sa lupa. Umupo siya at nagturo sa mga tao mula sa bangka. 4 Nang matapos siyang magsalita, sinabi niya kay Simon, “Dumako kayo sa malalim at ihulog ninyo ang inyong mga lambat upang makahuli.” 5 Sumagot si Simon, “Ginoo, buong magdamag po kaming nagtiyaga ngunit wala kaming nahuli. Subalit dahil sa inyong utos, ihuhulog ko ang lambat.” 6 Pagkagawa nila nito, nakahuli sila ng napakaraming isda na halos ikapunit ng kanilang mga lambat. 7 Kaya't kinawayan nila ang kanilang mga kasamahan sa kabilang bangka upang lumapit at tumulong sa kanila. Lumapit nga ang mga ito at pinuno nila ang dalawang bangka hanggang sa halos lumubog na ang mga ito. 8 Nang makita ito ni Simon Pedro, lumuhod siya sa harap ni Jesus habang sinasabi, “Lumayo po kayo sa akin, Panginoon, sapagkat ako'y taong makasalanan.” 9 Sapagkat siya at ang lahat ng kanyang mga kasama ay namangha dahil sa nahuli nilang mga isda, 10 gayundin ang mga anak ni Zebedeo na sina Santiago at Juan, na mga kasosyo ni Simon. Sinabi ni Jesus kay Simon, “Huwag kang matakot. Mula ngayon, ikaw ay magiging tagapangisda na ng mga tao.” 11 Nang maidaong na nila sa lupa ang mga bangka, iniwan nila ang lahat at sumunod kay Jesus.
Pinagaling ang Isang Ketongin(B)
12 Minsan ay nasa isang bayan si Jesus nang dumating ang isang lalaking punung-puno ng ketong. Pagkakita nito kay Jesus, patirapa itong nakiusap sa kanya, “Panginoon, kung nais po ninyo, ako ay mapagagaling ninyo.” 13 Iniunat ni Jesus ang kanyang kamay, hinawakan ang lalaki at sinabi, “Nais ko, gumaling ka!” At agad nawala ang ketong ng lalaki. 14 Pinagbilinan ni Jesus ang lalaki, “Huwag mo itong ipagsasabi kaninuman. Humayo ka at ipasuri mo ang iyong sarili sa pari, at mag-alay ng ayon sa iniutos ni Moises tungkol sa iyong pagkalinis bilang patotoo sa kanila.” 15 Ngunit lalong kumalat ang balita tungkol kay Jesus at pinagkaguluhan siya ng napakaraming tao upang makinig at magpagamot ng kanilang mga karamdaman. 16 Ngunit siya ay umiwas patungong ilang at nanalangin.
Pinagaling ang Isang Paralitiko(C)
17 Isang araw, habang siya ay nagtuturo, nakaupong malapit ang mga Fariseo at mga tagapagturo ng Kautusan. Nagmula pa sila sa bawat nayon ng Galilea, Judea, at Jerusalem. Ang kapangyarihan ng Panginoon ay nakay Jesus upang makapagpagaling. 18 At dumating ang mga lalaking may dalang isang lalaking paralitiko na nakaratay sa higaan. Sinikap nilang maipasok ito at mailagay sa harapan ni Jesus. 19 Ngunit dahil sa dami ng tao ay hindi nila malaman kung paano ito mailalapit sa kanya. Kaya't umakyat sila sa bubungan, tinuklap ang bubong na tisa at sa harapan ni Jesus sa gitna ng silid ay ibinaba ang lalaking nakahiga sa higaan. 20 Nang makita ni Jesus ang kanilang pananampalataya ay sinabi niya, “Lalaki, pinatatawad ka na sa iyong mga kasalanan.” 21 Kaya't nagsimulang magtanong ang mga tagapagturo ng Kautusan at ang mga Fariseo, “Sino ba itong nagsasalita ng kalapastanganan sa Diyos? Sino ba ang makapagpapatawad ng mga kasalanan maliban sa Diyos?” 22 Ngunit batid ni Jesus ang kanilang mga iniisip kaya't sinabi niya sa kanila, “Bakit kayo nag-iisip ng ganyan? 23 Alin ba ang mas madali? Ang sabihing, ‘Pinatatawad na ang iyong mga kasalanan,’ o ang sabihing, ‘Tumindig ka at lumakad?’ 24 Ngunit upang malaman ninyo na ang Anak ng Tao ay may kapangyarihan sa lupa na magpatawad ng mga kasalanan,” sinabi niya sa paralitiko, “Sinasabi ko sa iyo, tumindig ka at umuwi ka na sa iyong bahay na dala ang iyong higaan.” 25 Kaagad tumayo ang lalaki sa harapan nila, binuhat ang kanyang higaan, at umuwing nagpupuri sa Diyos. 26 Binalot ng pagkamangha ang lahat at pinuri nila ang Diyos. Napuno sila ng takot at nagsabing, “Kamangha-manghang mga bagay ang nasaksihan natin ngayon!”
Ang Pagtawag kay Levi(D)
27 Pagkatapos ng mga ito ay umalis si Jesus at nakita niya ang isang maniningil ng buwis na ang pangalan ay Levi. Nakaupo ito sa tanggapan ng buwis. Sinabi ni Jesus sa kanya, “Sumunod ka sa akin!” 28 Tumayo si Levi, iniwan ang lahat at sumunod kay Jesus. 29 Ipinaghanda siya ni Levi sa bahay nito ng isang malaking piging. Kasalo nila roon ang maraming maniningil ng buwis at iba pang mga tao. 30 Kaya't nagreklamo sa mga alagad ni Jesus ang mga Fariseo at kanilang mga tagapagturo ng Kautusan. Sinabi nila, “Bakit kayo nakikisalo at umiinom sa piling ng mga maniningil ng buwis at mga makasalanan?” 31 Sumagot sa kanila si Jesus, “Hindi ang malulusog ang nangangailangan sa manggagamot kundi ang mga maysakit. 32 Hindi ako pumarito upang tawaging magsisi ang matutuwid kundi ang mga makasalanan.”
Ang Tanong tungkol sa Pag-aayuno(E)
33 Sinabi ng ilan kay Jesus, “Madalas mag-ayuno at manalangin ang mga alagad ni Juan. Gayundin naman ang sa mga Fariseo. Ngunit ang mga alagad mo ay kumakain at umiinom.” 34 Kaya't sinabi sa kanila ni Jesus, “Dapat bang pag-ayunuhin ninyo ang mga abay ng ikakasal habang kapiling nila ang lalaking ikakasal? 35 Ngunit darating din naman ang mga araw kung kailan ilalayo sa kanila ang lalaking ikakasal. Sa mga araw na iyon pa lamang sila mag-aayuno.” 36 At sinabi niya sa kanila ang isang talinghaga, “Walang pumupunit ng bagong damit at ipinantatagpi iyon sa lumang damit. Kung gagawin iyon, masisira ang bago at ang tagping mula sa bago ay hindi babagay sa luma. 37 Wala ring naglalagay ng bagong alak sa lumang sisidlang balat. Papuputukin lamang ng bagong alak ang sisidlang balat. Matatapon lang ang alak at masisira ang sisidlan. 38 Sa halip, dapat ilagay ang bagong alak sa bagong sisidlang balat. 39 At walang sinuman na matapos uminom ng lumang alak ang magnanais ng bagong alak. Sa halip, sasabihin niyang, ‘Mas masarap ang lumang alak.’ ”

La pesca milagrosa

5 Aconteció que estando Jesús junto al lago de Genesaret, el gentío se agolpaba sobre él para oír la palabra de Dios. 2 Y vio dos barcas que estaban cerca de la orilla del lago; y los pescadores, habiendo descendido de ellas, lavaban sus redes. 3 Y entrando en una de aquellas barcas, la cual era de Simón, le rogó que la apartase de tierra un poco; y sentándose, enseñaba desde la barca a la multitud.(A) 4 Cuando terminó de hablar, dijo a Simón: Boga mar adentro, y echad vuestras redes para pescar. 5 Respondiendo Simón, le dijo: Maestro, toda la noche hemos estado trabajando, y nada hemos pescado;(B) mas en tu palabra echaré la red. 6 Y habiéndolo hecho, encerraron gran cantidad de peces,(C) y su red se rompía. 7 Entonces hicieron señas a los compañeros que estaban en la otra barca, para que viniesen a ayudarles; y vinieron, y llenaron ambas barcas, de tal manera que se hundían. 8 Viendo esto Simón Pedro, cayó de rodillas ante Jesús, diciendo: Apártate de mí, Señor, porque soy hombre pecador. 9 Porque por la pesca que habían hecho, el temor se había apoderado de él, y de todos los que estaban con él, 10 y asimismo de Jacobo y Juan, hijos de Zebedeo, que eran compañeros de Simón. Pero Jesús dijo a Simón: No temas; desde ahora serás pescador de hombres. 11 Y cuando trajeron a tierra las barcas, dejándolo todo, le siguieron.
Jesús sana a un leproso

12 Sucedió que estando él en una de las ciudades, se presentó un hombre lleno de lepra, el cual, viendo a Jesús, se postró con el rostro en tierra y le rogó, diciendo: Señor, si quieres, puedes limpiarme. 13 Entonces, extendiendo él la mano, le tocó, diciendo: Quiero; sé limpio. Y al instante la lepra se fue de él. 14 Y él le mandó que no lo dijese a nadie; sino ve, le dijo, muéstrate al sacerdote, y ofrece por tu purificación, según mandó Moisés,(D) para testimonio a ellos. 15 Pero su fama se extendía más y más; y se reunía mucha gente para oírle, y para que les sanase de sus enfermedades. 16 Mas él se apartaba a lugares desiertos, y oraba.
Jesús sana a un paralítico
(Mt. 9.1-8; Mr. 2.1-12)
17 Aconteció un día, que él estaba enseñando, y estaban sentados los fariseos y doctores de la ley, los cuales habían venido de todas las aldeas de Galilea, de Judea y Jerusalén; y el poder del Señor estaba con él para sanar. 18 Y sucedió que unos hombres que traían en un lecho a un hombre que estaba paralítico, procuraban llevarle adentro y ponerle delante de él. 19 Pero no hallando cómo hacerlo a causa de la multitud, subieron encima de la casa, y por el tejado le bajaron con el lecho, poniéndole en medio, delante de Jesús. 20 Al ver él la fe de ellos, le dijo: Hombre, tus pecados te son perdonados. 21 Entonces los escribas y los fariseos comenzaron a cavilar, diciendo: ¿Quién es este que habla blasfemias? ¿Quién puede perdonar pecados sino solo Dios? 22 Jesús entonces, conociendo los pensamientos de ellos, respondiendo les dijo: ¿Qué caviláis en vuestros corazones? 23 ¿Qué es más fácil, decir: Tus pecados te son perdonados, o decir: Levántate y anda? 24 Pues para que sepáis que el Hijo del Hombre tiene potestad en la tierra para perdonar pecados (dijo al paralítico): A ti te digo: Levántate, toma tu lecho, y vete a tu casa. 25 Al instante, levantándose en presencia de ellos, y tomando el lecho en que estaba acostado, se fue a su casa, glorificando a Dios. 26 Y todos, sobrecogidos de asombro, glorificaban a Dios; y llenos de temor, decían: Hoy hemos visto maravillas.
Llamamiento de Leví
(Mt. 9.9-13; Mr. 2.13-17)
27 Después de estas cosas salió, y vio a un publicano llamado Leví, sentado al banco de los tributos públicos, y le dijo: Sígueme. 28 Y dejándolo todo, se levantó y le siguió.
29 Y Leví le hizo gran banquete en su casa; y había mucha compañía de publicanos y de otros que estaban a la mesa con ellos. 30 Y los escribas y los fariseos murmuraban contra los discípulos, diciendo: ¿Por qué coméis y bebéis con publicanos y pecadores?(E) 31 Respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Los que están sanos no tienen necesidad de médico, sino los enfermos. 32 No he venido a llamar a justos, sino a pecadores al arrepentimiento.
La pregunta sobre el ayuno

33 Entonces ellos le dijeron: ¿Por qué los discípulos de Juan ayunan muchas veces y hacen oraciones, y asimismo los de los fariseos, pero los tuyos comen y beben? 34 Él les dijo: ¿Podéis acaso hacer que los que están de bodas ayunen, entre tanto que el esposo está con ellos? 35 Mas vendrán días cuando el esposo les será quitado; entonces, en aquellos días ayunarán. 36 Les dijo también una parábola: Nadie corta un pedazo de un vestido nuevo y lo pone en un vestido viejo; pues si lo hace, no solamente rompe el nuevo, sino que el remiendo sacado de él no armoniza con el viejo. 37 Y nadie echa vino nuevo en odres viejos; de otra manera, el vino nuevo romperá los odres y se derramará, y los odres se perderán. 38 Mas el vino nuevo en odres nuevos se ha de echar; y lo uno y lo otro se conservan. 39 Y ninguno que beba del añejo, quiere luego el nuevo; porque dice: El añejo es mejor.

Llamamiento de los primeros discípulos(A)
5 Un día estaba Jesús a orillas del lago de Genesaret[a] y la gente lo apretujaba para escuchar el mensaje de Dios. 2 Entonces vio dos barcas que los pescadores habían dejado en la playa mientras lavaban las redes. 3 Subió a una de las barcas, que pertenecía a Simón, y le pidió que la alejara un poco de la playa. Luego se sentó, y enseñaba a la gente desde la barca.
4 Cuando acabó de hablar, dijo a Simón:
—Lleva la barca hacia aguas más profundas y echen allí las redes para pescar.
5 —Maestro, hemos estado trabajando duro toda la noche y no hemos pescado nada —contestó Simón—. Pero, como tú me lo mandas, echaré las redes.
6 Así lo hicieron y recogieron una cantidad tan grande de peces que las redes se les rompían. 7 Entonces llamaron por señas a sus compañeros de la otra barca para que los ayudaran. Ellos se acercaron y llenaron tanto las dos barcas que comenzaron a hundirse.
8 Al ver esto, Simón Pedro cayó de rodillas delante de Jesús y le dijo:
—¡Apártate de mí, Señor; soy un pecador!
9 Es que él y todos sus compañeros estaban asombrados ante la pesca que habían hecho, 10 como también lo estaban Santiago y Juan, hijos de Zebedeo, que eran socios de Simón.
—No temas, desde ahora serás pescador de hombres —dijo Jesús a Simón.
11 Así que llevaron las barcas a tierra y, dejándolo todo, lo siguieron.
Jesús sana a un enfermo de la piel(B)
12 En otra ocasión, cuando Jesús estaba en un pueblo, se presentó un hombre con su piel toda enferma. Al ver a Jesús, cayó rostro en tierra y suplicó:
—Señor, si quieres, puedes limpiarme.
13 Jesús extendió la mano y tocó al hombre.
—Sí, quiero —dijo—. ¡Queda limpio!
Y al instante desapareció la enfermedad.
14 —No se lo digas a nadie —ordenó Jesús—; solo ve, preséntate al sacerdote y lleva por tu purificación lo que ordenó Moisés, para que les sirva de testimonio.
15 Sin embargo, la fama de Jesús se extendía cada vez más, de modo que acudían a él multitudes para oírlo y para que los sanara de sus enfermedades. 16 Él, por su parte, solía retirarse a lugares solitarios para orar.
Jesús sana a un paralítico(C)
17 Un día, mientras enseñaba, estaban sentados allí algunos fariseos y maestros de la Ley que habían venido de todas las aldeas de Galilea y Judea, y también de Jerusalén. Y el poder del Señor estaba con él para sanar a los enfermos. 18 Entonces llegaron unos hombres que llevaban en una camilla a un paralítico. Procuraron entrar para ponerlo delante de Jesús, 19 pero no pudieron a causa de la multitud. Así que subieron a la azotea y separando las tejas, lo bajaron en la camilla hasta ponerlo en medio de la gente, frente a Jesús.
20 Al ver la fe de ellos Jesús dijo:
—¡Amigo, tus pecados quedan perdonados!
21 Los maestros de la Ley y los fariseos comenzaron a pensar: «¿Quién es este que dice blasfemias? ¿Quién puede perdonar pecados sino solo Dios?».
22 Pero Jesús supo lo que estaban pensando y les dijo:
—¿Por qué razonan así? 23 ¿Qué es más fácil, decirle: “Tus pecados quedan perdonados” o decirle: “Levántate y anda”? 24 Pues, para que sepan que el Hijo del hombre tiene autoridad en la tierra para perdonar pecados —se dirigió entonces al paralítico—: A ti te digo, levántate, toma tu camilla y vete a tu casa.
25 Al instante se levantó a la vista de todos, tomó la camilla en que había estado acostado y se fue a su casa alabando a Dios. 26 Todos quedaron asombrados y ellos también alababan a Dios. Estaban llenos de temor y decían: «Hoy hemos visto maravillas».
Llamamiento de Leví(D)
27 Después de esto salió Jesús y se fijó en un recaudador de impuestos llamado Leví, sentado a la mesa donde cobraba.
«Sígueme» —dijo Jesús.
28 Y Leví se levantó, lo dejó todo y lo siguió.
29 Luego Leví ofreció a Jesús un gran banquete en su casa, y había allí un grupo numeroso de recaudadores de impuestos y otras personas que estaban comiendo con ellos. 30 Pero los fariseos y los maestros de la Ley que eran de la misma secta reclamaban a los discípulos de Jesús:
—¿Por qué comen y beben ustedes con recaudadores de impuestos y pecadores?
31 —No son los sanos los que necesitan médico, sino los enfermos —contestó Jesús—. 32 No he venido a llamar a justos, sino a pecadores para que se arrepientan.
Preguntan a Jesús sobre el ayuno(E)
33 Algunos dijeron a Jesús:
—Los discípulos de Juan ayunan y oran con frecuencia, lo mismo que los discípulos de los fariseos, pero los tuyos se la pasan comiendo y bebiendo.
34 Jesús replicó:
—¿Acaso pueden obligar a los invitados del novio a que ayunen mientras él está con ellos? 35 Llegará el día en que se les quitará el novio; en aquellos días sí ayunarán.
36 Les contó esta parábola:
—Nadie quita un retazo de un vestido nuevo para remendar un vestido viejo. De hacerlo así, habrá rasgado el vestido nuevo y el retazo nuevo no hará juego con el vestido viejo. 37 Ni echa nadie vino nuevo en recipientes de cuero viejo. De hacerlo así, el vino nuevo hará reventar el cuero, se derramará el vino y los recipientes se arruinarán. 38 Más bien, el vino nuevo debe echarse en recipientes de cuero nuevo. 39 Y nadie que haya bebido vino añejo quiere el nuevo, porque dice: “El añejo es mejor”.

3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.
8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.
9 For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:
10 And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.
11 And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.
12 And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
13 And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.
14 And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
15 But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
16 And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.
17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
19 And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?
23 Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?
24 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.
25 And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.
26 And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.
27 And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.
28 And he left all, rose up, and followed him.
29 And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.
30 But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.
32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
33 And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?
34 And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
35 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.
36 And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.
37 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.
38 But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.
39 No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.
