Ngụ Ngôn Về Con Chiên Đi Lạc(A)
15 Bấy giờ, tất cả người thu thuế và người tội lỗi đều đến gần Chúa để nghe Ngài dạy dỗ. 2 Các người Pha-ri-si và giáo sư Kinh Luật lầm bầm: “Ông này tiếp hạng người tội lỗi và ăn uống với họ!”
3 Đức Giê-su bèn dạy họ ngụ ngôn này: 4 “Có ai trong các ông có một trăm con chiên, mất một con, lại không để chín mươi chín con kia giữa đồng hoang để đi tìm con chiên thất lạc cho kỳ được? 5 Khi tìm được, người liền vui mừng vác lên vai, 6 về đến nhà, mời bạn hữu và láng giềng đến mà nói: ‘Hãy vui với tôi, vì tôi đã tìm được con chiên đi lạc!’ Ta bảo các ông: 7 Cũng thế, thiên đàng sẽ vui mừng về một tội nhân ăn năn hơn là chín mươi chín người công chính không cần ăn năn.
8 Hoặc có người đàn bà nào có mười quan tiền mất đi một quan, mà lại không thắp đèn, quét nhà; và cẩn thận tìm kiếm cho kỳ được? 9 Khi tìm được, nàng mời bạn hữu và láng giềng đến mà nói: ‘Hãy vui với tôi, vì tôi đã tìm được quan tiền bị mất!’ 10 Ta bảo các ông: ‘Cũng thế, các thiên sứ trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời sẽ vui mừng vì một tội nhân ăn năn.’ ”
11 Ngài tiếp: “Một người kia có hai con trai. 12 Đứa em thưa với cha: ‘Cha ơi, xin cha cho con phần tài sản[a] của con.’ Người Cha chia gia tài cho các con.
13 Chẳng bao lâu, đứa em thu hết tài sản, lên đường đi đến một nơi xa, ở đó ăn chơi[b] trác táng, tiêu sạch gia tài mình. 14 Khi nó đã tiêu hết tiền, cả xứ ấy bị nạn đói trầm trọng, nên nó bắt đầu túng ngặt. 15 Nó đi làm thuê cho một người dân bản xứ, và được sai ra đồng chăn[c] heo. 16 Nó mơ ước được ăn vỏ đậu heo ăn để lấp đầy bụng, nhưng chẳng ai cho.
17 Nó tỉnh ngộ, tự nhủ: ‘Bao nhiêu kẻ làm thuê của cha ta đều có bánh ăn dư dật, mà nơi đây ta lại đang chết đói. 18 Ta sẽ đứng dậy đi về với cha ta và thưa: “Cha ơi, con đã phạm tội với Trời và với cha, 19 không đáng gọi là con của cha nữa. Xin cha coi con[d] như là một người làm thuê của cha.” ’
20 Rồi nó đứng dậy, trở về với cha mình. Nhưng khi nó còn ở đàng xa, người cha thấy nó thì động lòng thương xót, liền chạy ra ôm cổ nó mà hôn.
21 Người con thưa: ‘Cha ơi, con đã phạm tội với Trời và với cha, không đáng gọi là con của cha nữa.’
22 Nhưng cha nó bảo các đầy tớ: ‘Hãy mau mau đem áo dài đẹp nhất mặc cho cậu, đeo nhẫn vào tay, mang dép vào chân. 23 Cũng hãy bắt[e] con bò tơ mập làm thịt để ăn mừng, 24 vì con ta đây đã chết mà nay sống lại, đã mất mà tìm lại được.’ Vậy họ bắt đầu ăn mừng.
25 Nhưng người con cả ở ngoài đồng về gần đến nhà, nghe tiếng đàn ca nhảy múa, 26 nên gọi một đầy tớ nhỏ mà hỏi đầu đuôi. 27 Nó đáp: ‘Em cậu mới về, nên ông chủ[f] hạ con bê mập ăn mừng vì thấy cậu ấy về mạnh khỏe.’
28 Người con cả nổi giận, không chịu vào nhà, nên cha nó phải ra năn nỉ. 29 Nhưng nó đáp: ‘Bao nhiêu năm qua, con đã phục vụ cha, không bao giờ trái lệnh cha, thế mà cha chẳng bao giờ cho con một con dê để ăn chơi với bạn hữu. 30 Nhưng thằng con kia của cha đã nướng sạch tài sản cha với bọn đĩ điếm, rồi quay về, thì cha lại làm thịt con bò mập mừng nó.’[g]
31 Cha nó giải thích: ‘Con ơi, con luôn luôn ở với cha, mọi tài sản của cha đều thuộc về con. 32 Nhưng ta phải ăn mừng hoan hỉ vì em con đã chết, mà nay được sống, đã mất mà nay tìm lại được.’ ”

15 Lumalapit noon kay Jesus ang lahat ng mga maniningil ng buwis at mga makasalanan upang makinig sa kanya. 2 Nagbulungan ang mga Fariseo at ang mga tagapagturo ng Kautusan. Sinabi nila, “Tinatanggap ng taong ito ang mga makasalanan at nakikisalo siya sa kanila.” 3 Kaya't isinalaysay niya sa kanila ang talinghagang ito: 4 “Sino sa inyo na may isandaang tupa at mawala ang isa, ang hindi mag-iiwan sa siyamnapu't siyam sa ilang at maghahanap sa nawala hanggang ito'y matagpuan? 5 Kapag natagpuan na niya ito ay nagagalak niya itong papasanin, 6 at pagdating sa bahay ay aanyayahan niya ang kanyang mga kaibigan at kapitbahay at sasabihin sa kanila, ‘Makipagsaya kayo sa akin, sapagkat natagpuan ko ang aking nawalang tupa.’ 7 Sinasabi ko sa inyo, sa gayunding paraan, magkakaroon ng higit pang kagalakan sa langit dahil sa isang makasalanang nagsisi kaysa siyamnapu't siyam na matutuwid na hindi nangangailangan ng pagsisisi.”

8 “O sino kayang babaing may sampung pirasong salaping pilak, kung mawawalan ng isang piraso ay hindi magsisindi ng ilawan at magwawalis ng bahay at matiyagang maghahanap hanggang sa matagpuan iyon? 9 At kapag natagpuan na niya ito ay tatawagin ang mga kaibigan at kapitbahay at magsasabing, ‘Makipagsaya kayo sa akin, sapagkat natagpuan ko ang aking salaping pilak na nawawala.’ 10 Sinasabi ko sa inyo, sa gayunding paraan, magkakaroon ng kagalakan ang mga anghel ng Diyos dahil sa isang makasalanang nagsisisi.”

11 Sinabi pa niya, “Isang tao ang may dalawang anak na lalaki. 12 Sinabi ng nakababata sa kanyang ama, ‘Ama, ibigay mo na sa akin ang mamanahin ko.’ At hinati ng ama sa kanila ang kanyang ari-arian. 13 Pagdaan ng ilang araw, tinipon ng nakababata ang lahat ng kanya at umalis siya patungo sa malayong lupain. Doon ay nilustay niya ang kanyang kabuhayan sa maaksayang pamumuhay. 14 Nang maubos na niya ang lahat, nagkaroon ng matinding taggutom sa lupaing iyon kaya nagsimula na siyang mangailangan. 15 Namasukan siya sa isang mamamayan sa lupaing iyon at ipinadala siya nito sa bukid upang magpakain ng mga baboy. 16 Dahil sa gutom ay gusto na niyang kainin kahit ang mga pinagbalatan ng gulay na kinakain ng mga baboy ngunit wala kahit isa man na nagbigay sa kanya ng anuman. 17 Subalit nang matauhan ay sinabi niya sa kanyang sarili, ‘Marami sa mga upahang lingkod ng aking ama ang sobra-sobra sa busog sa pagkain, samantalang ako rito'y namamatay sa gutom. 18 Babalik ako sa aking ama at sasabihin kong, “Ama, nagkasala ako laban sa langit at laban sa iyo. 19 Hindi na ako karapat-dapat tawaging iyong anak. Ituring mo ako bilang isa sa iyong mga upahang lingkod.” ’ 20 Kaya siya ay tumindig at umuwi sa kanyang ama. Ngunit malayo pa lang siya ay natanaw na siya ng kanyang ama at labis itong naawa sa kanya. Tumakbo ito sa kanya, niyakap siya at hinalikan. 21 Sinabi ng anak, ‘Ama, nagkasala ako laban sa langit at laban sa iyo. Hindi na ako karapat-dapat tawaging iyong anak.’ 22 Ngunit sinabi ng ama sa kanyang mga lingkod, ‘Magmadali kayo! Dalhin ninyo rito ang pinakamagandang balabal at isuot sa kanya. Suotan ninyo ng singsing ang kanyang daliri at ng mga sandalyas ang kanyang mga paa. 23 Kunin ninyo ang pinatabang guya at katayin. Tayo ay kakain at magdiriwang! 24 Sapagkat patay ang anak kong ito ngunit muling nabuhay. Siya ay nawala ngunit natagpuan.’ At nagsimula nga silang magdiwang.
25 “Nasa bukid noon ang nakatatandang anak at sa kanyang pag-uwi, nang malapit na siya sa bahay ay nakarinig siya ng tugtugan at sayawan. 26 Tinawag niya ang isa sa mga lingkod at tinanong kung ano ang nangyayari. 27 At sinabi nito sa kanya, ‘Narito na ang iyong kapatid! Ipinagkatay siya ng iyong ama ng pinatabang guya. Sapagkat nabawi siya ng iyong ama na ligtas at malusog.’ 28 Nagalit ang nakatatandang anak at ayaw pumasok. Kaya't lumabas ang kanyang ama at nakiusap sa kanya. 29 Ngunit sumagot siya sa kanyang ama, ‘Nakikita po ninyo na maraming taon na akong naglilingkod sa inyo at hindi ko sinuway kailanman ang inyong utos. Ngunit hindi ninyo ako binigyan ng kahit isang kambing upang makipagsaya ako sa aking mga kaibigan. 30 Subalit nang bumalik ang anak mong ito na naglustay ng iyong kabuhayan sa masasamang babae, ipinagkatay mo pa siya ng pinatabang guya.’ 31 Kaya't sinabi ng ama sa kanya, ‘Anak, lagi kitang kapiling at sa iyo ang lahat ng sa akin. 32 Ngunit nararapat lamang tayong magsaya at magalak sapagkat patay ang kapatid mong ito ngunit muling nabuhay. Siya ay nawala ngunit natagpuan.’ ”

The Parable of the Lost Sheep(A)
15 Now the tax collectors(B) and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. 2 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”(C)
3 Then Jesus told them this parable:(D) 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?(E) 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’(F) 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.(G)

8 “Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins[a] and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’(H) 10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”(I)
The Parable of the Lost Son
11 Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons.(J) 12 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’(K) So he divided his property(L) between them.
13 “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth(M) in wild living. 14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs.(N) 16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned(O) against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ 20 So he got up and went to his father.
“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.(P)
21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.(Q) I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe(R) and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger(S) and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again;(T) he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.(U)
25 “Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. 27 ‘Your brother has come,’ he replied, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’
28 “The older brother became angry(V) and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. 29 But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours who has squandered your property(W) with prostitutes(X) comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’
31 “‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. 32 But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”(Y)

15 अब जब कर वसूलने वाले और पापी सभी उसे सुनने उसके पास आने लगे थे। 2 तो फ़रीसी और यहूदी धर्मशास्त्री बड़बड़ाते हुए कहने लगे, “यह व्यक्ति तो पापियों का स्वागत करता है और उनके साथ खाता है।”
3 इस पर यीशु ने उन्हें यह दृष्टान्त कथा सुनाई: 4 “मानों तुममें से किसी के पास सौ भेड़ें हैं और उनमें से कोई एक खो जाये तो क्या वह निन्यानबे भेड़ों को खुले में छोड़ कर खोई हुई भेड़ का पीछा तब तक नहीं करेगा, जब तक कि वह उसे पा न ले। 5 फिर जब उसे भेड़ मिल जाती है तो वह उसे प्रसन्नता के साथ अपने कन्धों पर उठा लेता है। 6 और जब घर लौटता है तो अपने मित्रों और पड़ोसियों को पास बुलाकर उनसे कहता है, ‘मेरे साथ आनन्द मनाओ क्योंकि मुझे मेरी खोयी हुई भेड़ मिल गयी है।’ 7 मैं तुमसे कहता हूँ, इसी प्रकार किसी एक मन फिराने वाले पापी के लिये, उन निन्यानबे धर्मी पुरुषों से, जिन्हें मन फिराने की आवश्यकता नहीं है, स्वर्ग में कहीं अधिक आनन्द मनाया जाएगा।
8 “या सोचो कोई औरत है जिसके पास दस चाँदी के सिक्के हैं और उसका एक सिक्का खो जाता है तो क्या वह दीपक जला कर घर को तब तक नहीं बुहारती रहेगी और सावधानी से नहीं खोजती रहेगी जब तक कि वह उसे मिल न जाये? 9 और जब वह उसे पा लेती है तो अपने मित्रों और पड़ोसियों को पास बुला कर कहती है, ‘मेरे साथ आनन्द मनाओ क्योंकि मेरा सिक्का जो खो गया था, मिल गया है।’ 10 मैं तुमसे कहता हूँ कि इसी प्रकार एक मन फिराने वाले पापी के लिये भी परमेश्वर के दूतों की उपस्थिति में वहाँ आनन्द मनाया जायेगा।”

13 “अभी कोई अधिक समय नहीं बीता था, कि छोटे बेटे ने अपनी समूची सम्पत्ति समेंटी और किसी दूर देश को चल पड़ा। और वहाँ जँगलियों सा उद्दण्ड जीवन जीते हुए उसने अपना सारा धन बर्बाद कर डाला। 14 जब उसका सारा धन समाप्त हो चुका था तभी उस देश में सभी ओर व्यापक भयानक अकाल पड़ा। सो वह अभाव में रहने लगा। 15 इसलिये वह उस देश के किसी व्यक्ति के यहाँ जाकर मज़दूरी करने लगा उसने उसे अपने खेतों में सुअर चराने भेज दिया। 16 वहाँ उसने सोचा कि उसे वे फलियाँ ही पेट भरने को मिल जायें जिन्हें सुअर खाते थे। पर किसी ने उसे एक फली तक नहीं दी।
17 “फिर जब उसके होश ठिकाने आये तो वह बोला, ‘मेरे पिता के पास कितने ही ऐसे मज़दूर हैं जिनके पास खाने के बाद भी बचा रहता है, और मैं यहाँ भूखों मर रहा हूँ। 18 सो मैं यहाँ से उठकर अपने पिता के पास जाऊँगा और उससे कहूँगा: पिताजी, मैंने स्वर्ग के परमेश्वर और तेरे विरुद्ध पाप किया है। 19 अब आगे मैं तेरा बेटा कहलाने योग्य नहीं रहा हूँ। मुझे अपना एक मज़दूर समझकर रख ले।’ 20 सो वह उठकर अपने पिता के पास चल दिया।
छोटे पुत्र का लौटना
“अभी वह पर्याप्त दूरी पर ही था कि उसके पिता ने उसे देख लिया और उसके पिता को उस पर बहुत दया आयी। सो दौड़ कर उसने उसे अपनी बाहों में समेट लिया और चूमा। 21 पुत्र ने पिता से कहा, ‘पिताजी, मैंने तुम्हारी दृष्टि में और स्वर्ग के विरुद्ध पाप किया है, मैं अब और अधिक तुम्हारा पुत्र कहलाने योग्य नहीं हूँ।’
22 “किन्तु पिता ने अपने सेवकों से कहा, ‘जल्दी से उत्तम वस्त्र निकाल लाओ और उन्हें इसे पहनाओ। इसके हाथ में अँगूठी और पैरों में चप्पल पहनाओ। 23 कोई मोटा ताजा बछड़ा लाकर मारो और आओ उसे खाकर हम आनन्द मनायें। 24 क्योंकि मेरा यह बेटा जो मर गया था अब जैसे फिर जीवित हो गया है। यह खो गया था, पर अब यह मिल गया है।’ सो वे आनन्द मनाने लगे।
बड़े बेटे की शिकायत
25 “अब उसका बड़ा बेटा जो खेत में था, जब आया और घर के पास पहुँचा तो उसने गाने नाचने के स्वर सुने। 26 उसने अपने एक सेवक को बुलाकर पूछा, ‘यह सब क्या हो रहा है?’ 27 सेवक ने उससे कहा, ‘तेरा भाई आ गया है और तेरे पिता ने उसे सुरक्षित और स्वस्थ पाकर एक मोटा सा बछड़ा कटवाया है!’
28 “बड़ा भाई आग बबूला हो उठा, वह भीतर जाना तक नहीं चाहता था। सो उसके पिता ने बाहर आकर उसे समझाया बुझाया। 29 पर उसने पिता को उत्तर दिया, ‘देख मैं बरसों से तेरी सेवा करता आ रहा हूँ। मैंने तेरी किसी भी आज्ञा का विरोध नहीं किया, पर तूने मुझे तो कभी एक बकरी तक नहीं दी कि मैं अपने मित्रों के साथ कोई आनन्द मना सकता। 30 पर जब तेरा यह बेटा आया जिसने वेश्याओं में तेरा धन उड़ा दिया, उसके लिये तूने मोटा ताजा बछड़ा मरवाया।’
31 “पिता ने उससे कहा, ‘मेरे पुत्र, तू सदा ही मेरे पास है और जो कुछ मेरे पास है, सब तेरा है। 32 किन्तु हमें प्रसन्न होना चाहिए और उत्सव मनाना चाहिये क्योंकि तेरा यह भाई, जो मर गया था, अब फिर जीवित हो गया है। यह खो गया था, जो फिर अब मिल गया है।’”

2 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
3 And he spake this parable unto them, saying,
4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.

19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:

27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.
29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.
32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
