The Law of the Burnt Offering

8 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 9 “Command Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the (A)law of the burnt offering: The burnt offering shall be on the hearth upon the altar all night until morning, and the fire of the altar shall be kept burning on it. 10 (B)And the priest shall put on his linen garment, and his linen trousers he shall put on his body, and take up the ashes of the burnt offering which the fire has consumed on the altar, and he shall put them (C)beside the altar. 11 Then (D)he shall take off his garments, put on other garments, and carry the ashes outside the camp (E)to a clean place. 12 And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not be put out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order on it; and he shall burn on it (F)the fat of the peace offerings. 13 A fire shall always be burning on the (G)altar; it shall never go out.

The Law of the Grain Offering

14 ‘This is the law of the grain offering: The sons of Aaron shall offer it on the altar before the Lord. 15 He shall take from it his handful of the fine flour of the grain offering, with its oil, and all the frankincense which is on the grain offering, and shall burn it on the altar for a sweet aroma, as a memorial to the Lord. 16 And the remainder of it Aaron and his sons shall eat; with unleavened bread it shall be eaten in a holy place; in the court of the tabernacle of meeting they shall eat it. 17 It shall not be baked with leaven. I have given it as their [a]portion of My offerings made by fire; it is most holy, like the sin offering and the (H)trespass offering. 18 (I)All the males among the children of Aaron may eat it. (J)It shall be a statute forever in your generations concerning the offerings made by fire to the Lord. (K)Everyone who touches them must be holy.’ ”

19 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 20 (L)“This is the offering of Aaron and his sons, which they shall offer to the Lord, beginning on the day when he is anointed: one-tenth of an (M)ephah of fine flour as a daily grain offering, half of it in the morning and half of it at night. 21 It shall be made in a (N)pan with oil. When it is mixed, you shall bring it in. The baked pieces of the grain offering you shall offer for a [b]sweet aroma to the Lord. 22 The priest from among his sons, (O)who is anointed in his place, shall offer it. It is a statute forever to the Lord. (P)It shall be [c]wholly burned. 23 For every grain offering for the priest shall be wholly burned. It shall not be eaten.”

The Law of the Sin Offering

24 Also the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 25 “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘This is the law of the sin offering: (Q)In the place where the burnt offering is killed, the sin offering shall be killed before the Lord. It is most holy. 26 (R)The priest who offers it for sin shall eat it. In a holy place it shall be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of meeting. 27 (S)Everyone who touches its flesh [d]must be holy. And when its blood is sprinkled on any garment, you shall wash that on which it was sprinkled, in a holy place. 28 But the earthen vessel in which it is boiled (T)shall be broken. And if it is boiled in a bronze pot, it shall be both scoured and rinsed in water. 29 All the males among the priests may eat it. It is most holy. 30 (U)But no sin offering from which any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of meeting, to make atonement in [e]the holy (V)place, shall be (W)eaten. It shall be (X)burned in the fire.

The Law of the Trespass Offering

7 ‘Likewise (Y)this is the law of the trespass offering (it is most holy): 2 In the place where they kill the burnt offering they shall kill the trespass offering. And its blood he shall sprinkle all around on the altar. 3 And he shall offer from it all its fat. The fat tail and the fat that covers the entrails, 4 the two kidneys and the fat that is on them by the flanks, and the fatty lobe attached to the liver above the kidneys, he shall remove; 5 and the priest shall burn them on the altar as an offering made by fire to the Lord. It is a trespass offering. 6 (Z)Every male among the priests may eat it. It shall be eaten in a holy place. (AA)It is most holy. 7 (AB)The trespass offering is like the sin offering; there is one law for them both: the priest who makes atonement with it shall have it. 8 And the priest who offers anyone’s burnt offering, that priest shall have for himself the skin of the burnt offering which he has offered. 9 Also (AC)every grain offering that is baked in the oven and all that is prepared in the covered pan, or [f]in a pan, shall be the priest’s who offers it. 10 Every grain offering, whether mixed with oil or dry, shall belong to all the sons of Aaron, to one as much as the other.

The Law of Peace Offerings

11 (AD)‘This is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings which he shall offer to the Lord: 12 If he offers it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer, with the sacrifice of thanksgiving, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, unleavened wafers (AE)anointed with oil, or cakes of blended flour mixed with oil. 13 Besides the cakes, as his offering he shall offer (AF)leavened bread with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offering. 14 And from it he shall offer one cake from each offering as a heave offering to the Lord. (AG)It shall belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offering.

15 (AH)‘The flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offering for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day it is offered. He shall not leave any of it until morning. 16 But (AI)if the sacrifice of his offering is a vow or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offers his sacrifice; but on the next day the remainder of it also may be eaten; 17 the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day must be burned with fire. 18 And if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offering is eaten at all on the third day, it shall not be accepted, nor shall it be (AJ)imputed to him; it shall be an (AK)abomination to him who offers it, and the person who eats of it shall bear [g]guilt.

19 ‘The flesh that touches any unclean thing shall not be eaten. It shall be burned with fire. And as for the clean flesh, all who are [h]clean may eat of it. 20 But the person who eats the flesh of the sacrifice of the peace offering that belongs to the (AL)Lord, (AM)while he is unclean, that person (AN)shall be cut off from his people. 21 Moreover the person who touches any unclean thing, such as (AO)human uncleanness, an (AP)unclean animal, or any (AQ)abominable[i] unclean thing, and who eats the flesh of the sacrifice of the peace offering that belongs to the Lord, that person (AR)shall be cut off from his people.’ ”

18 דַּבֵּ֤ר אֶֽל־אַהֲרֹן֙ וְאֶל־בָּנָ֣יו לֵאמֹ֔ר זֹ֥את תּוֹרַ֖ת הַֽחַטָּ֑את בִּמְק֡וֹם אֲשֶׁר֩ תִּשָּׁחֵ֨ט הָעֹלָ֜ה תִּשָּׁחֵ֤ט הַֽחַטָּאת֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה קֹ֥דֶשׁ קָֽדָשִׁ֖ים הִֽוא׃

19 הַכֹּהֵ֛ן הַֽמְחַטֵּ֥א אֹתָ֖הּ יֹאכֲלֶ֑נָּה בְּמָק֤וֹם קָדֹשׁ֙ תֵּֽאָכֵ֔ל בַּחֲצַ֖ר אֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵֽד׃

20 כֹּ֛ל אֲשֶׁר־יִגַּ֥ע בִּבְשָׂרָ֖הּ יִקְדָּ֑שׁ וַאֲשֶׁ֨ר יִזֶּ֤ה מִדָּמָהּ֙ עַל־הַבֶּ֔גֶד אֲשֶׁר֙ יִזֶּ֣ה עָלֶ֔יהָ תְּכַבֵּ֖ס בְּמָק֥וֹם קָדֹֽשׁ׃

21 וּכְלִי־חֶ֛רֶשׂ אֲשֶׁ֥ר תְּבֻשַּׁל־בּ֖וֹ יִשָּׁבֵ֑ר וְאִם־בִּכְלִ֤י נְחֹ֙שֶׁת֙ בֻּשָּׁ֔לָה וּמֹרַ֥ק וְשֻׁטַּ֖ף בַּמָּֽיִם׃

22 כָּל־זָכָ֥ר בַּכֹּהֲנִ֖ים יֹאכַ֣ל אֹתָ֑הּ קֹ֥דֶשׁ קָֽדָשִׁ֖ים הִֽוא׃

13 עַל־חַלֹּת֙ לֶ֣חֶם חָמֵ֔ץ יַקְרִ֖יב קָרְבָּנ֑וֹ עַל־זֶ֖בַח תּוֹדַ֥ת שְׁלָמָֽיו׃

14 וְהִקְרִ֨יב מִמֶּ֤נּוּ אֶחָד֙ מִכָּל־קָרְבָּ֔ן תְּרוּמָ֖ה לַיהוָ֑ה לַכֹּהֵ֗ן הַזֹּרֵ֛ק אֶת־דַּ֥ם הַשְּׁלָמִ֖ים ל֥וֹ יִהְיֶֽה׃

15 וּבְשַׂ֗ר זֶ֚בַח תּוֹדַ֣ת שְׁלָמָ֔יו בְּי֥וֹם קָרְבָּנ֖וֹ יֵאָכֵ֑ל לֹֽא־יַנִּ֥יחַ מִמֶּ֖נּוּ עַד־בֹּֽקֶר׃

16 וְאִם־נֶ֣דֶר׀ א֣וֹ נְדָבָ֗ה זֶ֚בַח קָרְבָּנ֔וֹ בְּי֛וֹם הַקְרִיב֥וֹ אֶת־זִבְח֖וֹ יֵאָכֵ֑ל וּמִֽמָּחֳרָ֔ת וְהַנּוֹתָ֥ר מִמֶּ֖נּוּ יֵאָכֵֽל׃

17 וְהַנּוֹתָ֖ר מִבְּשַׂ֣ר הַזָּ֑בַח בַּיּוֹם֙ הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֔י בָּאֵ֖שׁ יִשָּׂרֵֽף׃

18 וְאִ֣ם הֵאָכֹ֣ל יֵ֠אָכֵל מִבְּשַׂר־זֶ֨בַח שְׁלָמָ֜יו בַּיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁלִישִׁי֮ לֹ֣א יֵרָצֶה֒ הַמַּקְרִ֣יב אֹת֗וֹ לֹ֧א יֵחָשֵׁ֛ב ל֖וֹ פִּגּ֣וּל יִהְיֶ֑ה וְהַנֶּ֛פֶשׁ הָאֹכֶ֥לֶת מִמֶּ֖נּוּ עֲוֺנָ֥הּ תִּשָּֽׂא׃

19 וְהַבָּשָׂ֞ר אֲשֶׁר־יִגַּ֤ע בְּכָל־טָמֵא֙ לֹ֣א יֵֽאָכֵ֔ל בָּאֵ֖שׁ יִשָּׂרֵ֑ף וְהַ֨בָּשָׂ֔ר כָּל־טָה֖וֹר יֹאכַ֥ל בָּשָֽׂר׃

20 וְהַנֶּ֜פֶשׁ אֲשֶׁר־תֹּאכַ֣ל בָּשָׂ֗ר מִזֶּ֤בַח הַשְּׁלָמִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לַיהוָ֔ה וְטֻמְאָת֖וֹ עָלָ֑יו וְנִכְרְתָ֛ה הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ הַהִ֖וא מֵעַמֶּֽיהָ׃

21 וְנֶ֜פֶשׁ כִּֽי־תִגַּ֣ע בְּכָל־טָמֵ֗א בְּטֻמְאַ֤ת אָדָם֙ א֣וֹ׀ בִּבְהֵמָ֣ה טְמֵאָ֗ה א֚וֹ בְּכָל־שֶׁ֣קֶץ טָמֵ֔א וְאָכַ֛ל מִבְּשַׂר־זֶ֥בַח הַשְּׁלָמִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר לַיהוָ֑ה וְנִכְרְתָ֛ה הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ הַהִ֖וא מֵעַמֶּֽיהָ׃ פ

Young's Literal Translation

8 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

9 `Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This [is] a law of the burnt-offering (it [is] the burnt-offering, because of the burning on the altar all the night unto the morning, and the fire of the altar is burning on it,)

10 that the priest hath put on his long robe of fine linen, and his fine linen trousers he doth put on his flesh, and hath lifted up the ashes which the fire consumeth with the burnt-offering on the altar, and hath put them near the altar;

11 and he hath stripped off his garments, and hath put on other garments, and hath brought out the ashes unto the outside of the camp, unto a clean place.

12 `And the fire on the altar is burning on it, it is not quenched, and the priest hath burned on it wood morning by morning, and hath arranged on it the burnt-offering, and hath made perfume on it [with] the fat of the peace-offerings;

13 fire is continually burning on the altar, it is not quenched.

14 `And this [is] a law of the present: sons of Aaron have brought it near before Jehovah unto the front of the altar,

15 and [one] hath lifted up of it with his hand from the flour of the present, and from its oil, and all the frankincense which [is] on the present, and hath made perfume on the altar, sweet fragrance -- its memorial to Jehovah.

16 `And the remnant of it do Aaron and his sons eat; [with] unleavened things it is eaten, in the holy place, in the court of the tent of meeting they do eat it.

17 It is not baken [with] any thing fermented, their portion I have given it, out of My fire-offerings; it [is] most holy, like the sin-offering, and like the guilt-offering.

18 Every male among the sons of Aaron doth eat it -- a statute age-during to your generations, out of the fire-offerings of Jehovah: all that cometh against them is holy.'

19 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

20 `This [is] an offering of Aaron and of his sons, which they bring near to Jehovah in the day of his being anointed; a tenth of the ephah of flour [for] a continual present, half of it in the morning, and half of it in the evening;

21 on a girdel with oil it is made -- fried thou dost bring it in; baked pieces of the present thou dost bring near, a sweet fragrance to Jehovah.

22 `And the priest who is anointed in his stead, from among his sons, doth make it, -- a statute age-during of Jehovah: it is completely perfumed;

23 and every present of a priest is a whole burnt-offering; it is not eaten.'

24 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

25 `Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, This [is] a law of the sin-offering: in the place where the burnt-offering is slaughtered is the sin-offering slaughtered before Jehovah; it [is] most holy.

26 `The priest who is making atonement with it doth eat it, in the holy place it is eaten, in the court of the tent of meeting;

27 all that cometh against its flesh is holy, and when [any] of its blood is sprinkled on the garment, that on which it is sprinkled thou dost wash in the holy place;

28 and an earthen vessel in which it is boiled is broken, and if in a brass vessel it is boiled, then it is scoured and rinsed with water.

29 `Every male among the priests doth eat it -- it [is] most holy;

30 and no sin-offering, [any] of whose blood is brought in unto the tent of meeting to make atonement in the sanctuary is eaten; with fire it is burnt.

7 `And this [is] a law of the guilt-offering: it [is] most holy;

2 in the place where they slaughter the burnt-offering they do slaughter the guilt-offering, and its blood [one] doth sprinkle on the altar round about,

3 and all its fat he bringeth near out of it, the fat tail, and the fat which is covering the inwards,

4 and the two kidneys, and the fat which [is] on them, which [is] on the flanks, and the redundance above the liver (beside the kidneys he doth turn it aside);

5 and the priest hath made them a perfume on the altar, a fire-offering to Jehovah; it [is] a guilt-offering.

6 `Every male among the priests doth eat it; in the holy place it is eaten -- it [is] most holy;

7 as [is] a sin-offering, so [is] a guilt-offering; one law [is] for them; the priest who maketh atonement by it -- it is his.

8 `And the priest who is bringing near any man's burnt-offering, the skin of the burnt-offering which he hath brought near, it is the priest's, his own;

9 and every present which is baked in an oven, and every one done in a frying-pan, and on a girdel, [is] the priest's who is bringing it near; it is his;

10 and every present, mixed with oil or dry, is for all the sons of Aaron -- one as another.

11 `And this [is] a law of the sacrifice of the peace-offerings which [one] bringeth near to Jehovah:

12 if for a thank-offering he bring it near, then he hath brought near with the sacrifice of thank-offering unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and thin unleavened cakes anointed with oil, and of fried flour cakes mixed with oil;

13 besides the cakes, fermented bread he doth bring near [with] his offering, besides the sacrifice of thank-offering of his peace-offerings;

14 and he hath brought near out of it one of the whole offering -- a heave-offering to Jehovah; to the priest who is sprinkling the blood of the peace-offerings -- it is his;

15 as to the flesh of the sacrifice of the thank-offering of his peace-offerings, in the day of his offering it is eaten; he doth not leave of it till morning.

16 `And if the sacrifice of his offering [is] a vow or free-will offering, in the day of his bringing near his sacrifice it is eaten; and on the morrow also the remnant of it is eaten;

17 and the remnant of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day with fire is burnt;

18 and if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace-offerings be really eaten on the third day, it is not pleasing; for him who is bringing it near it is not reckoned; it is an abominable thing, and the person who is eating of it his iniquity doth bear.

19 `And the flesh which cometh against any unclean thing is not eaten; with fire it is burnt; as to the flesh, every clean one doth eat of the flesh;

20 and the person who eateth of the flesh of the sacrifice of the peace-offerings which [are] Jehovah's, and his uncleanness upon him, even that person hath been cut off from his people.

21 `And when a person cometh against any thing unclean, of the uncleanness of man, or of the uncleanness of beasts, or of any unclean teeming creature, and hath eaten of the flesh of the sacrifice of the peace-offerings which [are] Jehovah's, even that person hath been cut off from his people.'

The Priest’s Part in the Offerings

8 [a]Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 9 “Command Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is (A)the law for the burnt offering: the burnt offering itself shall remain on the hearth on the altar all night until the morning, and (B)the fire on the altar is to be kept burning on it. 10 The priest is to put on (C)his linen robe, and he shall put on linen undergarments next to his [b]body; and he shall take up the fatty ashes to which the fire [c]reduces the burnt offering on the altar and place them beside the altar. 11 Then he shall take off his garments and put on other garments, and carry the fatty ashes outside the camp to a clean place. 12 The fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it. It shall not go out, but the priest shall burn wood on it every morning; and he shall lay out the burnt offering on it, and offer up in smoke the fat portions of the peace offerings (D)on it. 13 Fire shall be kept burning continually on the altar; it is not to go out.

14 ‘Now this is the law of the grain offering: the sons of Aaron shall present it before the Lord in front of the altar. 15 (E)Then one of them shall lift up from it a handful of the fine flour of the grain offering, [d]with its oil and all the incense that is on the grain offering, and he shall offer it up in smoke on the altar, a soothing aroma, as its memorial offering to the Lord. 16 And Aaron and his sons are to eat (F)what is left of it. It shall be eaten as unleavened cakes in a holy place; they are to eat it in the courtyard of the tent of meeting. 17 (G)It shall not be baked with leaven. I have given it as their share from My offerings by fire; (H)it is most holy, like the sin offering and (I)the guilt offering. 18 (J)Every male among the sons of Aaron may eat it; it is a permanent ordinance throughout your generations, from the offerings by fire to the Lord. 19 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 20 “This is the offering which Aaron and his sons are to present to the Lord on the day when he is anointed; the tenth of an [g](L)ephah of fine flour as (M)a [h]regular grain offering, half of it in the morning and half of it in the evening. 21 It shall be prepared with oil on a (N)griddle. When it is well stirred, you shall bring it. You shall present the grain offering in baked pieces as a soothing aroma to the Lord. 22 The anointed priest who will be in his place [i]among his sons shall [j]offer it. By a permanent ordinance it shall be entirely offered up in smoke to the Lord. 23 So every grain offering of the priest shall be burned entirely. It shall not be eaten.”

24 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 25 “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘This is the law of the sin offering: (O)in the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered, the sin offering shall be slaughtered before the Lord; it is most holy. 26 (P)The priest who offers it for sin shall eat it. It shall be eaten in a holy place, in the courtyard of the tent of meeting. 27 [k](Q)Whoever touches its flesh [l]will become consecrated; and when any of its blood spatters on a garment, you shall wash what spattered on it in a holy place. 28 Also (R)the earthenware vessel in which it was boiled shall be broken; and if it was boiled in a bronze vessel, then it shall be scoured and rinsed in water. 29 (S)Every male among the priests may eat it; (T)it is most holy. 30 But no sin offering (U)of which any of the blood is brought into the tent of meeting to make atonement (V)in the Holy Place shall be eaten; (W)it shall be burned with fire.

The Priest’s Part in the Offerings

7 ‘Now this is the law of the (X)guilt offering; it is most holy. 2 In (Y)the place where they slaughter the burnt offering they are to slaughter the guilt offering, and the priest shall sprinkle its blood around on the altar. 3 Then he shall offer from it all its fat: the (Z)fat tail and the fat that covers the entrails, 4 and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, which is on the loins; and he shall remove the lobe on the liver (AA)with the kidneys. 5 The priest shall offer them up in smoke on the altar as an offering by fire to the Lord; it is a guilt offering. 6 (AB)Every male among the priests may eat it. It shall be eaten in a holy place; it is most holy. 7 The guilt offering is like the (AC)sin offering: there is one law for them. The (AD)priest who makes atonement with it [m]shall have it. 8 Also the priest who presents anyone’s burnt offering, [n]that priest shall have for himself the hide of the burnt offering which he has presented. 9 Likewise, every grain offering that is baked in the oven and everything prepared in a [o]pan or on a (AE)griddle [p]shall belong to the priest who presents it. 10 Every grain offering, mixed with oil or dry, shall [q]belong to all the sons of Aaron, [r]to all alike.

11 ‘Now this is the law of the (AF)sacrifice of peace offerings which shall be presented to the Lord. 12 If he offers it by way of (AG)thanksgiving, then along with the sacrifice of thanksgiving he shall offer (AH)unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers [s]spread with oil, and cakes of well stirred fine flour mixed with oil. 13 With the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving, he shall present his offering with cakes of (AI)leavened bread. 14 Of [t]this he shall present one of every offering as a [u]contribution to the Lord; (AJ)it shall [v]belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings.

15 ‘(AK)Now as for the flesh of the sacrifice of his thanksgiving peace offerings, it shall be eaten on the day of his offering; he shall not leave any of it over until morning. 16 But if the sacrifice of his offering is a [w](AL)vow or a [x]voluntary offering, it shall be eaten on the day that he offers his sacrifice, and on the next [y]day what is left of it may be eaten; 17 (AM)but what is left over from the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burned with fire. 18 So if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings is ever eaten on the third day, he who offers it will not be accepted, and it will not be credited to him. It will be an (AN)unclean thing, and the person who eats it shall bear his punishment.

19 ‘Also the flesh that touches anything unclean shall not be eaten; it shall be burned with fire. [z]As for other flesh, anyone who is clean may eat such flesh. 20 (AO)But the person who eats the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings which belong to the Lord, [aa]when he is unclean, that person (AP)shall be cut off from his people. 21 (AQ)When anyone touches anything unclean, whether human uncleanness, or an unclean animal, or any unclean [ab]detestable thing, and eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings which belong to the Lord, that person shall be cut off from his people.’”

The Burnt Offering

8 The Lord said to Moses: 9 “Give Aaron and his sons this command: ‘These are the regulations for the burnt offering(A): The burnt offering is to remain on the altar hearth throughout the night, till morning, and the fire must be kept burning on the altar.(B) 10 The priest shall then put on his linen clothes,(C) with linen undergarments next to his body,(D) and shall remove the ashes(E) of the burnt offering that the fire has consumed on the altar and place them beside the altar. 11 Then he is to take off these clothes and put on others, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a place that is ceremonially clean.(F) 12 The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add firewood(G) and arrange the burnt offering on the fire and burn the fat(H) of the fellowship offerings(I) on it. 13 The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.

The Grain Offering

14 “‘These are the regulations for the grain offering:(J) Aaron’s sons are to bring it before the Lord, in front of the altar. 15 The priest is to take a handful of the finest flour and some olive oil, together with all the incense(K) on the grain offering,(L) and burn the memorial[a] portion(M) on the altar as an aroma pleasing to the Lord. 16 Aaron and his sons(N) shall eat the rest(O) of it, but it is to be eaten without yeast(P) in the sanctuary area;(Q) they are to eat it in the courtyard(R) of the tent of meeting.(S) 17 It must not be baked with yeast; I have given it as their share(T) of the food offerings presented to me.(U) Like the sin offering[b] and the guilt offering, it is most holy.(V) 18 Any male descendant of Aaron may eat it.(W) For all generations to come(X) it is his perpetual share(Y) of the food offerings presented to the Lord. Whatever touches them will become holy.[c](Z)’”

19 The Lord also said to Moses, 20 “This is the offering Aaron and his sons are to bring to the Lord on the day he[d] is anointed:(AA) a tenth of an ephah[e](AB) of the finest flour(AC) as a regular grain offering,(AD) half of it in the morning and half in the evening. 21 It must be prepared with oil on a griddle;(AE) bring it well-mixed and present the grain offering broken[f] in pieces as an aroma pleasing to the Lord. 22 The son who is to succeed him as anointed priest(AF) shall prepare it. It is the Lord’s perpetual share and is to be burned completely.(AG) 23 Every grain offering of a priest shall be burned completely; it must not be eaten.”

The Sin Offering

24 The Lord said to Moses, 25 “Say to Aaron and his sons: ‘These are the regulations for the sin offering:(AH) The sin offering is to be slaughtered before the Lord(AI) in the place(AJ) the burnt offering is slaughtered; it is most holy. 26 The priest who offers it shall eat it; it is to be eaten in the sanctuary area,(AK) in the courtyard(AL) of the tent of meeting.(AM) 27 Whatever touches any of the flesh will become holy,(AN) and if any of the blood is spattered on a garment, you must wash it in the sanctuary area. 28 The clay pot(AO) the meat is cooked in must be broken; but if it is cooked in a bronze pot, the pot is to be scoured and rinsed with water. 29 Any male in a priest’s family may eat it;(AP) it is most holy.(AQ) 30 But any sin offering whose blood is brought into the tent of meeting to make atonement(AR) in the Holy Place(AS) must not be eaten; it must be burned up.(AT)

The Guilt Offering

7 “‘These are the regulations for the guilt offering,(AU) which is most holy: 2 The guilt offering is to be slaughtered in the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered, and its blood is to be splashed against the sides of the altar. 3 All its fat(AV) shall be offered: the fat tail and the fat that covers the internal organs, 4 both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which is to be removed with the kidneys.(AW) 5 The priest shall burn them on the altar(AX) as a food offering presented to the Lord. It is a guilt offering. 6 Any male in a priest’s family may eat it,(AY) but it must be eaten in the sanctuary area; it is most holy.(AZ)

7 “‘The same law applies to both the sin offering[g](BA) and the guilt offering:(BB) They belong to the priest(BC) who makes atonement with them.(BD) 8 The priest who offers a burnt offering for anyone may keep its hide(BE) for himself. 9 Every grain offering baked in an oven(BF) or cooked in a pan(BG) or on a griddle(BH) belongs to the priest who offers it, 10 and every grain offering, whether mixed with olive oil or dry, belongs equally to all the sons of Aaron.

The Fellowship Offering

11 “‘These are the regulations for the fellowship offering anyone may present to the Lord:

12 “‘If they offer it as an expression of thankfulness, then along with this thank offering(BI) they are to offer thick loaves(BJ) made without yeast(BK) and with olive oil mixed in, thin loaves(BL) made without yeast and brushed with oil,(BM) and thick loaves of the finest flour well-kneaded and with oil mixed in. 13 Along with their fellowship offering of thanksgiving(BN) they are to present an offering with thick loaves of bread made with yeast.(BO) 14 They are to bring one of each kind as an offering, a contribution to the Lord; it belongs to the priest who splashes the blood of the fellowship offering against the altar. 15 The meat of their fellowship offering of thanksgiving must be eaten on the day it is offered; they must leave none of it till morning.(BP)

16 “‘If, however, their offering is the result of a vow(BQ) or is a freewill offering,(BR) the sacrifice shall be eaten on the day they offer it, but anything left over may be eaten on the next day.(BS) 17 Any meat of the sacrifice left over till the third day must be burned up.(BT) 18 If any meat of the fellowship offering(BU) is eaten on the third day, the one who offered it will not be accepted.(BV) It will not be reckoned(BW) to their credit, for it has become impure; the person who eats any of it will be held responsible.(BX)

19 “‘Meat that touches anything ceremonially unclean must not be eaten; it must be burned up. As for other meat, anyone ceremonially clean may eat it. 20 But if anyone who is unclean(BY) eats any meat of the fellowship offering belonging to the Lord, they must be cut off from their people.(BZ) 21 Anyone who touches something unclean(CA)—whether human uncleanness or an unclean animal or any unclean creature that moves along the ground[h]—and then eats any of the meat of the fellowship offering belonging to the Lord must be cut off from their people.’”
