¹⁹ And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:

²² Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁶ But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the Lord his God, and went into the temple of the Lord to burn incense upon the altar of incense.

²⁶ Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the Lord came not upon them in the days of Hezekiah.

⁶ Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds;

¹⁷ That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.

⁴ The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

¹⁸ Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

⁴ He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.
