18 And the Lord said to Moses,
2 Say to the Israelites, I am the Lord your God.
3 You shall not do as was done in the land of Egypt in which you dwelt, nor shall you do as is done in the land of Canaan to which I am bringing you; neither shall you walk in their statutes.
4 You shall do My ordinances and keep My statutes and walk in them. I am the Lord your God.
5 You shall therefore keep My statutes and My ordinances which, if a man does, he shall live by them. I am the Lord.(A)
6 None of you shall approach anyone close of kin to him to have sexual relations. I am the Lord.
7 The nakedness of your father, which is the nakedness of your mother, you shall not uncover; she is your mother; you shall not have intercourse with her.
8 The nakedness of your father’s wife you shall not uncover; it is your father’s nakedness.
9 You shall not have intercourse with or uncover the nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father or of your mother, whether born at home or born abroad.
10 You must not have sexual relations with your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter; their nakedness you shall not uncover, for they are your own flesh.
11 You must not have intercourse with your father’s wife’s daughter; begotten by your father, she is your sister; you shall not uncover her nakedness.
12 You shall not have intercourse with your father’s sister; she is your father’s near kinswoman.
13 You shall not have sexual relations with your mother’s sister, for she is your mother’s near kinswoman.
14 You shall not have intercourse with your father’s brother’s wife; you shall not approach his wife; she is your aunt.
15 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law; she is your son’s wife; you shall not have intercourse with her.
16 You shall not have intercourse with your brother’s wife; she belongs to your brother.
17 You shall not marry a woman and her daughter, nor shall you take her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter to have intercourse; they are [her] near kinswomen; it is wickedness and an outrageous offense.
18 You must not marry a woman in addition to her sister, to be a rival to her, having sexual relations with the second sister when the first one is alive.
19 Also you shall not have intercourse with a woman during her [menstrual period or similar] uncleanness.
20 Moreover, you shall not lie carnally with your neighbor’s wife, to defile yourself with her.
21 You shall not give any of your children to pass through the fire and sacrifice them to Molech [the fire god], nor shall you profane the name of your God [by giving it to false gods]. I am the Lord.
22 You shall not lie with a man as with a woman; it is an abomination.(B)
23 Neither shall you lie with any beast and defile yourself with it; neither shall any woman yield herself to a beast to lie with it; it is confusion, perversion, and degradedly carnal.
24 Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, for in all these things the nations are defiled which I am casting out before you.
25 And the land is defiled; therefore I visit the iniquity of it upon it, and the land itself vomits out her inhabitants.
26 So you shall keep My statutes and My ordinances and shall not commit any of these abominations, neither the native-born nor any stranger who sojourns among you,
27 For all these abominations have the men of the land done who were before you, and the land is defiled—
28 [Do none of these things] lest the land spew you out when you defile it as it spewed out the nation that was before you.
29 Whoever commits any of these abominations shall be cut off from among [his] people.
30 So keep My charge: do not practice any of these abominable customs which were practiced before you and defile yourselves by them. I am the Lord your God.

Unlawful Sexual Relations
18 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘I am the Lord your God.(A) 3 You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices.(B) 4 You must obey my laws(C) and be careful to follow my decrees.(D) I am the Lord your God.(E) 5 Keep my decrees and laws,(F) for the person who obeys them will live by them.(G) I am the Lord.
6 “‘No one is to approach any close relative to have sexual relations. I am the Lord.
7 “‘Do not dishonor your father(H) by having sexual relations with your mother.(I) She is your mother; do not have relations with her.
8 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your father’s wife;(J) that would dishonor your father.(K)
9 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your sister,(L) either your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether she was born in the same home or elsewhere.(M)
10 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter; that would dishonor you.
11 “‘Do not have sexual relations with the daughter of your father’s wife, born to your father; she is your sister.
12 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your father’s sister;(N) she is your father’s close relative.
13 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your mother’s sister,(O) because she is your mother’s close relative.
14 “‘Do not dishonor your father’s brother by approaching his wife to have sexual relations; she is your aunt.(P)
15 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your daughter-in-law.(Q) She is your son’s wife; do not have relations with her.(R)
16 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your brother’s wife;(S) that would dishonor your brother.
17 “‘Do not have sexual relations with both a woman and her daughter.(T) Do not have sexual relations with either her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter; they are her close relatives. That is wickedness.
18 “‘Do not take your wife’s sister(U) as a rival wife and have sexual relations with her while your wife is living.
19 “‘Do not approach a woman to have sexual relations during the uncleanness(V) of her monthly period.(W)
20 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your neighbor’s wife(X) and defile yourself with her.
21 “‘Do not give any of your children(Y) to be sacrificed to Molek,(Z) for you must not profane the name of your God.(AA) I am the Lord.(AB)
22 “‘Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman;(AC) that is detestable.(AD)
23 “‘Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is a perversion.(AE)
24 “‘Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you(AF) became defiled.(AG) 25 Even the land was defiled;(AH) so I punished it for its sin,(AI) and the land vomited out its inhabitants.(AJ) 26 But you must keep my decrees and my laws.(AK) The native-born and the foreigners residing among you must not do any of these detestable things, 27 for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled. 28 And if you defile the land,(AL) it will vomit you out(AM) as it vomited out the nations that were before you.
29 “‘Everyone who does any of these detestable things—such persons must be cut off from their people. 30 Keep my requirements(AN) and do not follow any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you came and do not defile yourselves with them. I am the Lord your God.(AO)’”

18 O SENHOR disse a Moisés:
2 —Diga aos israelitas que eu sou o SENHOR, seu Deus. 3 Não sigam os costumes do Egito, o país onde viviam antes, nem os costumes dos habitantes de Canaã, a terra para onde eu levarei vocês. Não vivam como eles vivem, nem sigam as suas leis. 4 Obedeçam aos meus mandamentos e às minhas leis e vivam conforme eu lhes ordeno, porque eu sou o SENHOR, seu Deus. 5 Obedeçam às minhas regras e leis, porque quem fizer o que a lei manda terá vida por meio dela. Eu sou o SENHOR.
6 —Ninguém deverá ter relações sexuais com uma pessoa da sua própria família. Eu sou o SENHOR.
7 —Não desonre o seu pai tendo relações sexuais com a sua mãe. Ela é sua mãe, portanto, não tenha relações sexuais com ela.
8 —Não desonre o seu pai tendo relações sexuais com a mulher casada com ele.

12 —Não tenha relações sexuais com a irmã do seu pai: ela é parente próxima do seu pai.
13 —Não tenha relações sexuais com a irmã da sua mãe: ela é parente próxima da sua mãe.
14 —Não desonre o seu tio tendo relações sexuais com a esposa dele: ela é sua tia.
15 —Não tenha relações sexuais com a sua nora: ela é esposa do seu filho.
16 —Não desonre o seu irmão tendo relações sexuais com a esposa dele.
17 —Não tenha relações sexuais com uma mulher e com a sua filha ou a sua neta. Não importa que a neta seja filha do filho ou da filha desta mulher. São parentes próximos dela. Isso seria um ato indecente.
18 —Enquanto a sua esposa for viva, não tenha relações sexuais nem se case com a irmã dela. Isso causaria rivalidade entre as duas.
19 —Não tenha relações sexuais com uma mulher durante o seu período menstrual, porque ela está impura.
20 —Não se corrompa tendo relações sexuais com a esposa de outro homem.
21 —Não despreze o nome do seu Deus oferecendo qualquer um dos seus filhos ou filhas em sacrifício a Moloque. Eu sou o SENHOR.
22 —Nenhum homem deverá ter relações sexuais com outro homem, porque é um pecado abominável.
23 —Não se corrompa tendo relações sexuais com um animal. Nem a mulher deverá se corromper tendo relações sexuais com um animal, porque é um ato indecente.
24 —Não se corrompam praticando esses atos perversos. É por terem feito esses pecados e terem se tornado impuros que eu vou expulsar os povos dessa terra e entregá-la a vocês. 25 Vou castigar esses povos porque os seus pecados contaminaram a terra e, agora, a terra os lançará fora. 26 Quanto a vocês, tanto israelitas como os imigrantes que vivem entre vocês, obedeçam às minhas regras e leis e não façam nenhum desses atos perversos. 27 Pois as pessoas que viviam nessa terra antes de vocês praticaram esses pecados e contaminaram a terra. 28 Se vocês não praticarem esses pecados, a terra não os expulsará, como fez com os povos que antes viviam nela. Foram expulsos porque contaminaram a terra com essas práticas perversas. 29 Quem cometer esses pecados será expulso da comunidade. 30 Obedeçam, portanto, ao que eu mando, e não pratiquem nenhum dos atos detestáveis que eles praticavam antes de vocês chegarem. Não façam as impurezas que eles faziam. Eu sou o SENHOR, seu Deus.

3 After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
4 Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the Lord your God.
5 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the Lord.

18 Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time.
19 Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.
20 Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour's wife, to defile thyself with her.
21 And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the Lord.
