25 1-2 While Moses was on Mount Sinai, the Lord gave him these instructions for the people of Israel:
“When you come into the land I am going to give you, you must let the land rest before the Lord every seventh year. 3 For six years you may sow your field and prune your vineyards and harvest your crops, 4 but during the seventh year the land is to lie fallow before the Lord, uncultivated. Don’t sow your crops and don’t prune your vineyards during that entire year.

2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter the land I am going to give you, the land itself must observe a sabbath to the Lord. 3 For six years sow your fields, and for six years prune your vineyards and gather their crops.(A) 4 But in the seventh year the land is to have a year of sabbath rest,(B) a sabbath to the Lord. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards.(C)
