2 “Speak to the Israelites,[a] and say to them, ‘When you[b] come into the land that I am about to give to you,[c] then[d] the land shall observe a Sabbath for Yahweh. 3 Six years you[e] shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and you shall gather its yield. 4 But[f] in the seventh year it shall be a Sabbath of complete rest[g] for the land—a Sabbath for Yahweh; you[h] must not sow your field, and you must not prune your vineyard.

2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter the land I am going to give you, the land itself must observe a sabbath to the Lord. 3 For six years sow your fields, and for six years prune your vineyards and gather their crops.(A) 4 But in the seventh year the land is to have a year of sabbath rest,(B) a sabbath to the Lord. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards.(C)
