24 “Say to the Israelites: ‘On the first day of the seventh month you are to have a day of sabbath rest, a sacred assembly(A) commemorated with trumpet blasts.(B) 25 Do no regular work,(C) but present a food offering to the Lord.(D)’”
The Day of Atonement(E)
26 The Lord said to Moses, 27 “The tenth day of this seventh month(F) is the Day of Atonement.(G) Hold a sacred assembly(H) and deny yourselves,[a] and present a food offering to the Lord. 28 Do not do any work(I) on that day, because it is the Day of Atonement, when atonement is made for you before the Lord your God. 29 Those who do not deny themselves on that day must be cut off from their people.(J) 30 I will destroy from among their people(K) anyone who does any work on that day. 31 You shall do no work at all. This is to be a lasting ordinance(L) for the generations to come, wherever you live. 32 It is a day of sabbath rest(M) for you, and you must deny yourselves. From the evening of the ninth day of the month until the following evening you are to observe your sabbath.”(N)
The Festival of Tabernacles(O)
33 The Lord said to Moses, 34 “Say to the Israelites: ‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh(P) month the Lord’s Festival of Tabernacles(Q) begins, and it lasts for seven days. 35 The first day is a sacred assembly;(R) do no regular work.(S) 36 For seven days present food offerings to the Lord, and on the eighth day hold a sacred assembly(T) and present a food offering to the Lord.(U) It is the closing special assembly; do no regular work.
37 (“‘These are the Lord’s appointed festivals, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies for bringing food offerings to the Lord—the burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings(V) required for each day. 38 These offerings(W) are in addition to those for the Lord’s Sabbaths(X) and[b] in addition to your gifts and whatever you have vowed and all the freewill offerings(Y) you give to the Lord.)
39 “‘So beginning with the fifteenth day of the seventh month, after you have gathered the crops of the land, celebrate the festival(Z) to the Lord for seven days;(AA) the first day is a day of sabbath rest, and the eighth day also is a day of sabbath rest. 40 On the first day you are to take branches(AB) from luxuriant trees—from palms, willows and other leafy trees(AC)—and rejoice(AD) before the Lord your God for seven days. 41 Celebrate this as a festival to the Lord for seven days each year. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come; celebrate it in the seventh month. 42 Live in temporary shelters(AE) for seven days: All native-born Israelites are to live in such shelters 43 so your descendants will know(AF) that I had the Israelites live in temporary shelters when I brought them out of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.’”
44 So Moses announced to the Israelites the appointed festivals of the Lord.

25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.
26 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.
28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the Lord your God.
29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.
33 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord.
35 On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
36 Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.
37 These are the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:
38 Beside the sabbaths of the Lord, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the Lord.
39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.
40 And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days.
41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.
42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:
43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
44 And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord.

29 “‘On the first day of the seventh month hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.(B) It is a day for you to sound the trumpets. 2 As an aroma pleasing to the Lord,(C) offer a burnt offering(D) of one young bull, one ram and seven male lambs a year old,(E) all without defect.(F) 3 With the bull offer a grain offering(G) of three-tenths of an ephah[a] of the finest flour mixed with olive oil; with the ram, two-tenths[b]; 4 and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.[c](H) 5 Include one male goat(I) as a sin offering[d] to make atonement for you. 6 These are in addition to the monthly(J) and daily burnt offerings(K) with their grain offerings(L) and drink offerings(M) as specified. They are food offerings presented to the Lord, a pleasing aroma.(N)

Celebrate a festival to the Lord for seven days. 13 Present as an aroma pleasing to the Lord(AB) a food offering consisting of a burnt offering of thirteen young bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect.(AC) 14 With each of the thirteen bulls offer a grain offering(AD) of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; with each of the two rams, two-tenths; 15 and with each of the fourteen lambs, one-tenth.(AE) 16 Include one male goat as a sin offering,(AF) in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.(AG)
17 “‘On the second day(AH) offer twelve young bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect.(AI) 18 With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings(AJ) and drink offerings(AK) according to the number specified.(AL) 19 Include one male goat as a sin offering,(AM) in addition to the regular burnt offering(AN) with its grain offering, and their drink offerings.(AO)
20 “‘On the third day offer eleven bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect.(AP) 21 With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified.(AQ) 22 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
23 “‘On the fourth day offer ten bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect. 24 With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. 25 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
26 “‘On the fifth day offer nine bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect. 27 With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. 28 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
29 “‘On the sixth day offer eight bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect. 30 With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. 31 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.

39 “‘In addition to what you vow(AU) and your freewill offerings,(AV) offer these to the Lord at your appointed festivals:(AW) your burnt offerings,(AX) grain offerings, drink offerings and fellowship offerings.(AY)’”
40 Moses told the Israelites all that the Lord commanded him.[f]
