The Festival of Trumpets^(A)

²³ The Lord said to Moses, ²⁴ “Say to the Israelites: ‘On the first day of the seventh month you are to have a day of sabbath rest, a sacred assembly^(B) commemorated with trumpet blasts.^{(C) 25} Do no regular work,^(D) but present a food offering to the Lord.^(E)’”

The Day of Atonement^(F)

²⁶ The Lord said to Moses, ²⁷ “The tenth day of this seventh month^(G) is the Day of Atonement.^(H) Hold a sacred assembly^(I) and deny yourselves,^[a] and present a food offering to the Lord. ²⁸ Do not do any work^(J) on that day, because it is the Day of Atonement, when atonement is made for you before the Lord your God. ²⁹ Those who do not deny themselves on that day must be cut off from their people.^{(K) 30} I will destroy from among their people^(L) anyone who does any work on that day. ³¹ You shall do no work at all. This is to be a lasting ordinance^(M) for the generations to come, wherever you live. ³² It is a day of sabbath rest^(N) for you, and you must deny yourselves. From the evening of the ninth day of the month until the following evening you are to observe your sabbath.”^(O)

The Festival of Tabernacles^(P)

³³ The Lord said to Moses, ³⁴ “Say to the Israelites: ‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh^(Q) month the Lord’s Festival of Tabernacles^(R) begins, and it lasts for seven days. ³⁵ The first day is a sacred assembly;^(S) do no regular work.^{(T) 36} For seven days present food offerings to the Lord, and on the eighth day hold a sacred assembly^(U) and present a food offering to the Lord.^(V) It is the closing special assembly; do no regular work.

³⁷ (“‘These are the Lord’s appointed festivals, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies for bringing food offerings to the Lord—the burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings^(W) required for each day. ³⁸ These offerings^(X) are in addition to those for the Lord’s Sabbaths^(Y) and^[b] in addition to your gifts and whatever you have vowed and all the freewill offerings^(Z) you give to the Lord.)

³⁹ “‘So beginning with the fifteenth day of the seventh month, after you have gathered the crops of the land, celebrate the festival^(AA) to the Lord for seven days;^(AB) the first day is a day of sabbath rest, and the eighth day also is a day of sabbath rest. ⁴⁰ On the first day you are to take branches^(AC) from luxuriant trees—from palms, willows and other leafy trees^(AD)—and rejoice^(AE) before the Lord your God for seven days. ⁴¹ Celebrate this as a festival to the Lord for seven days each year. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come; celebrate it in the seventh month. ⁴² Live in temporary shelters^(AF) for seven days: All native-born Israelites are to live in such shelters ⁴³ so your descendants will know^(AG) that I had the Israelites live in temporary shelters when I brought them out of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.’”

The Festival of Trumpets^(A)

29 “‘On the first day of the seventh month hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.^(B) It is a day for you to sound the trumpets. ² As an aroma pleasing to the Lord,^(C) offer a burnt offering^(D) of one young bull, one ram and seven male lambs a year old,^(E) all without defect.^{(F) 3} With the bull offer a grain offering^(G) of three-tenths of an ephah^[a] of the finest flour mixed with olive oil; with the ram, two-tenths^[b]; ⁴ and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.^{[c](H) 5} Include one male goat^(I) as a sin offering^[d] to make atonement for you. ⁶ These are in addition to the monthly^(J) and daily burnt offerings^(K) with their grain offerings^(L) and drink offerings^(M) as specified. They are food offerings presented to the Lord, a pleasing aroma.^(N)

The Day of Atonement^(O)

⁷ “‘On the tenth day of this seventh month hold a sacred assembly. You must deny yourselves^[e](P) and do no work.^{(Q) 8} Present as an aroma pleasing to the Lord a burnt offering of one young bull, one ram and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect.^{(R) 9} With the bull offer a grain offering^(S) of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; with the ram, two-tenths;^{(T) 10} and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.^{(U) 11} Include one male goat^(V) as a sin offering, in addition to the sin offering for atonement and the regular burnt offering^(W) with its grain offering, and their drink offerings.^(X)

The Festival of Tabernacles^(Y)

¹² “‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh^(Z) month,^(AA) hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. Celebrate a festival to the Lord for seven days. ¹³ Present as an aroma pleasing to the Lord^(AB) a food offering consisting of a burnt offering of thirteen young bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect.^{(AC) 14} With each of the thirteen bulls offer a grain offering^(AD) of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; with each of the two rams, two-tenths; ¹⁵ and with each of the fourteen lambs, one-tenth.^{(AE) 16} Include one male goat as a sin offering,^(AF) in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.^(AG)

¹⁷ “‘On the second day^(AH) offer twelve young bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect.^{(AI) 18} With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings^(AJ) and drink offerings^(AK) according to the number specified.^{(AL) 19} Include one male goat as a sin offering,^(AM) in addition to the regular burnt offering^(AN) with its grain offering, and their drink offerings.^(AO)

²⁰ “‘On the third day offer eleven bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect.^{(AP) 21} With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified.^{(AQ) 22} Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.
