³¹ ‘Do not turn to ^[a](A)mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am Yahweh your God.

⁶ ‘As for the person who turns to ^[a](A)mediums and to spiritists, to play the harlot after them, I will also set My face against that person and will cut him off from among his people.

²⁷ ‘Now a man or a woman ^(A)who is a medium or a ^[a]spiritist shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them.’”

¹⁰ There shall not be found among you anyone ^(A)who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one ^(B)who practices soothsaying or one who interprets omens or a sorcerer, ¹¹ or one who is an enchanter ^(C)or a medium or a spiritist or one who inquires of the dead.

³ Now ^(A)Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented for him and buried him ^(B)in Ramah, his own city. And Saul had removed from the land those who ^(C)were mediums and spiritists.

⁹ But as for you, ^(A)do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, your ^[a]dreamers, your soothsayers, or your sorcerers who speak to you, saying, ‘You will not serve the king of Babylon.’ ¹⁰ For they prophesy a ^(B)lie to you in order to ^(C)remove you far from your land; and I will banish you, and you will perish.
