¹⁴ You must not eat any bread, or roasted or new grain,^(A) until the very day you bring this offering to your God.^(B) This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come,^(C) wherever you live.^(D)

²⁶ “Bring the best of the firstfruits^(A) of your soil to the house of the Lord your God.

“Do not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.”^(B)

¹¹ The day after the Passover, that very day, they ate some of the produce of the land:^(A) unleavened bread^(B) and roasted grain.^{(C) 12} The manna stopped the day after^[a] they ate this food from the land; there was no longer any manna for the Israelites, but that year they ate the produce of Canaan.^(D)

¹² Remember that you were slaves in Egypt,^(A) and follow carefully these decrees.

²⁰ Present a loaf from the first of your ground meal^(A) and present it as an offering from the threshing floor.^{(B) 21} Throughout the generations to come^(C) you are to give this offering to the Lord from the first of your ground meal.^(D)

² “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter the land I am going to give you, the land itself must observe a sabbath to the Lord. ³ For six years sow your fields, and for six years prune your vineyards and gather their crops.^(A)

²³ “‘When you enter the land and plant any kind of fruit tree, regard its fruit as forbidden.^[a] For three years you are to consider it forbidden^[b]; it must not be eaten. ²⁴ In the fourth year all its fruit will be holy,^(A) an offering of praise to the Lord. ²⁵ But in the fifth year you may eat its fruit. In this way your harvest will be increased. I am the Lord your God.
