³⁵ “You shall not cheat in measuring length, weight, or quantity.

⁶ “You shall not pervert the justice due to your poor in their lawsuits.^{(A) 7} Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent and those in the right, for I will not acquit the guilty.^{(B) 8} You shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds officials and subverts the cause of those who are in the right.^(C)

² You shall not follow a majority in wrongdoing; when you bear witness in a lawsuit, you shall not side with the majority so as to pervert justice,^{[a](A) 3} nor shall you be partial to the poor in a lawsuit.

⁶ But you have dishonored the poor person. Is it not the rich who oppress you? Is it not they who drag you into the courts?^{(A) 7} Is it not they who blaspheme the excellent name that was invoked over you?

⁸ If you really fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well.^{(B) 9} But if you show partiality, you commit sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
