29 Ang taong ayaw magbago kahit palaging sinasaway ay bigla na lang mapapahamak at hindi na makakabangon pa.
Kapag matutuwid ang namamahala, nagdiriwang ang madla. Ngunit kapag ang nangunguna ay masama, silaʼy lumuluha.
Ang naghahangad ng karunungan ay nagdudulot ng tuwa sa magulang. Ang nakikisama sa babaeng bayaran ay nagwawaldas ng kayamanan.
Kapag ang layunin ng hari ay katarungan, pinatatatag niya ang kanyang kaharian, ngunit kapag ang layunin niya ay humingi ng suhol, winawasak niya ang kanyang kaharian.
Ang taong nagkukunwaring pumupuri sa kanyang kapwa ay may pinaplanong masama.
Ang taong masama ay mahuhuli sa sarili niyang kasalanan, ngunit ang matuwid ay aawit nang may kagalakan.
Kinikilala ng taong matuwid ang karapatan ng mahihirap, ngunit hindi ito maunawaan ng taong masama.
Ang mga taong nangungutya ay nagpapasimula ng gulo sa mga bayan, ngunit ang matatalino ang nagpapatigil nito.
Kapag inihabla ng marunong ang hangal ay wala ring kahihinatnan, dahil hindi titigil ang hangal sa pagdadaldal at panunuya.
10 Kinamumuhian at gustong patayin ng mamamatay-tao ang mga taong namumuhay nang matuwid at walang kapintasan.
11 Ang taong hangal ay hindi makapagpigil sa kanyang galit, ngunit ang taong marunong ay nakapagpipigil ng kanyang sarili.
12 Kapag ang pinuno ay naniniwala sa kasinungalingan, lahat ng lingkod niyaʼy mabubuyo sa kasamaan.
13 Ang mahirap at ang mapang-api ay parehong binigyan ng Panginoon ng paningin.
14 Kapag ang hari ay makatarungan sa mga mahihirap, paghahari niyaʼy magtatagal.
15 Ang pagpalo sa bata upang siya ay ituwid ay makapagtuturo sa kanya ng karunungan, ngunit kung pababayaan lang siya, makapagbibigay siya ng kahihiyan sa kanyang magulang.
16 Kapag masama ang namumuno, nadadagdagan ang kasamaan. Ngunit sila ay mapapahamak at makikita ito ng mga matuwid.
17 Disiplinahin mo ang iyong anak at bibigyan ka niya ng kapayapaan at kaligayahan.
18 Kapag tinanggihan ng isang bansa ang turo at gabay ng Dios, wala itong kapayapaan. Mapalad ang mga taong sumusunod sa turo ng Dios.
19 May mga utusan na hindi mo maturuan sa pamamagitan lamang ng salita, sapagkat kahit nauunawaan ka nila, hindi sila nakikinig.
20 Mas mabuti pa ang kahihinatnan ng mangmang kaysa sa taong pabigla-biglang magsalita.
21 Kung mula pagkabata ng iyong utusan ay sinusunod mo ang layaw niya, sa huli ay magiging problema mo siya.
22 Ang taong madaling magalit ay nagpapasimula ng gulo, at palaging nagkakasala.
23 Ang kayabangan ng tao ang magbibigay sa kanya ng kahihiyan, ngunit ang pagpapakumbaba ang magbibigay sa kanya ng karangalan.
24 Ang taong nakikipagsabwatan sa magnanakaw ay ipinapahamak ang kanyang sarili. Kahit na pasumpain siya na magsabi ng totoo ay hindi pa rin magsasabi.
25 Mapanganib kung tayo ay matatakutin.[a] Ngunit kung magtitiwala tayo sa Panginoon ay ligtas tayo.
26 Maraming lumalapit sa pinuno upang humingi ng pabor, ngunit tanging ang Panginoon lang ang makapagbibigay ng katarungan.
27 Kinasusuklaman ng mga matuwid ang masasama, at kinasusuklaman din naman ng masasama ang mga matuwid.

29 Whoever remains stiff-necked(A) after many rebukes
    will suddenly be destroyed(B)—without remedy.(C)

A man who loves wisdom brings joy to his father,(G)

Those who flatter their neighbors

    but the wicked have no such concern.

Mockers stir up a city,
    but the wise turn away anger.(M)

If a wise person goes to court with a fool,
    the fool rages and scoffs, and there is no peace.

10 The bloodthirsty hate a person of integrity
    and seek to kill the upright.(N)

11 Fools give full vent to their rage,(O)
    but the wise bring calm in the end.(P)

12 If a ruler(Q) listens to lies,
    all his officials become wicked.(R)

13 The poor and the oppressor have this in common:
    The Lord gives sight to the eyes of both.(S)

14 If a king judges the poor with fairness,
    his throne will be established forever.(T)

15 A rod and a reprimand impart wisdom,
    but a child left undisciplined disgraces its mother.(U)

16 When the wicked thrive, so does sin,
    but the righteous will see their downfall.(V)

17 Discipline your children, and they will give you peace;
    they will bring you the delights you desire.(W)

18 Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint;
    but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction.(X)

19 Servants cannot be corrected by mere words;
    though they understand, they will not respond.

20 Do you see someone who speaks in haste?

21 A servant pampered from youth
    will turn out to be insolent.

22 An angry person stirs up conflict,
