5 Now I want to (A)remind you, though (B)you know all things, that [a]Jesus, (C)having once saved a people out of the land of Egypt, [b]subsequently destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And (D)angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has (E)kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day, 7 just as (F)Sodom and Gomorrah and the (G)cities around them, having indulged in the same way as these in gross sexual immorality and having (H)gone after [c]strange flesh, are exhibited as an [d](I)example in undergoing the (J)punishment of eternal fire.

5 Now I want to remind you, though you know all these things: The Lord[a] first[b] saved a people out of Egypt and later destroyed those who did not believe;(A) 6 and He has kept, with eternal chains in darkness for the judgment of the great day, the angels(B) who did not keep their own position but deserted their proper dwelling. 7 In the same way, Sodom and Gomorrah(C) and the cities around them committed sexual immorality and practiced perversions,[c] just as angels did, and serve as an example by undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.(D)
