As it is written, “(E)The people sat down to eat and drink, and stood up to (F)play.” 8 Nor let us act in sexual immorality, as (G)some of them [b]did, and (H)twenty-three thousand fell in one day. 9 Nor let us put Christ to the test, as (I)some of them [c]did, and were destroyed by the serpents. 10 Nor (J)grumble, as some of them [d]did, and (K)were destroyed by the (L)destroyer.
