Jesús ora por sus discípulos
17 Jesús habló de estas cosas, y levantando los ojos al cielo, dijo: «Padre, la hora ha llegado; glorifica a tu Hijo, para que también tu Hijo te glorifique a ti; 2 como le has dado potestad sobre toda la humanidad, para que dé vida eterna a todos los que le diste. 3 Y ésta es la vida eterna: que te conozcan a ti, el único Dios verdadero, y a Jesucristo, a quien has enviado. 4 Yo te he glorificado en la tierra; he acabado la obra que me diste que hiciera. 5 Ahora pues, Padre, glorifícame tú al lado tuyo, con aquella gloria que tuve contigo antes de que el mundo existiera.
6 »He manifestado tu nombre a aquellos que del mundo me diste; tuyos eran, y tú me los diste, y han obedecido tu palabra. 7 Ahora han comprendido que todas las cosas que me has dado, proceden de ti. 8 Yo les he dado las palabras que me diste, y ellos las recibieron; y han comprendido en verdad que salí de ti, y han creído que tú me enviaste. 9 Yo ruego por ellos. No ruego por el mundo, sino por los que me diste, porque son tuyos. 10 Y todo lo mío es tuyo, y lo tuyo es mío; y he sido glorificado en ellos. 11 Y ya no estoy en el mundo; pero ellos sí están en el mundo, y yo voy a ti. Padre santo, a los que me has dado, cuídalos en tu nombre, para que sean uno, como nosotros. 12 Cuando estaba con ellos en el mundo, yo los cuidaba en tu nombre; a los que me diste, yo los cuidé, y ninguno de ellos se perdió, sino el hijo de perdición, para que la Escritura se cumpliera.(A) 13 Pero ahora voy a ti; y hablo de esto en el mundo, para que mi gozo se cumpla en ellos mismos. 14 Yo les he dado tu palabra, y el mundo los aborreció porque no son del mundo, como tampoco yo soy del mundo. 15 No ruego que los quites del mundo, sino que los protejas del mal. 16 Ellos no son del mundo, como tampoco yo soy del mundo. 17 Santifícalos en tu verdad; tu palabra es verdad. 18 Tal como tú me enviaste al mundo, así yo los he enviado al mundo. 19 Y por ellos yo me santifico a mí mismo, para que también ellos sean santificados en la verdad.
20 »Pero no ruego solamente por éstos, sino también por los que han de creer en mí por la palabra de ellos, 21 para que todos sean uno; como tú, oh Padre, en mí, y yo en ti, que también ellos sean uno en nosotros; para que el mundo crea que tú me enviaste. 22 Yo les he dado la gloria que me diste, para que sean uno, así como nosotros somos uno. 23 Yo en ellos, y tú en mí, para que sean perfectos en unidad, para que el mundo crea que tú me enviaste, y que los has amado a ellos como también a mí me has amado.
24 »Padre, quiero que donde yo estoy también estén conmigo aquellos que me has dado, para que vean mi gloria, la cual me has dado; porque me has amado desde antes de la fundación del mundo. 25 Padre justo, el mundo no te ha conocido, pero yo te he conocido, y éstos han reconocido que tú me enviaste. 26 Y les he dado a conocer tu nombre, y aún lo daré a conocer, para que el amor con que me has amado esté en ellos, y yo en ellos.»

The High Priestly Prayer
17 When Jesus had spoken these words, (A)he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, (B)the hour has come; (C)glorify your Son that the Son may (D)glorify you, 2 since (E)you have given him authority over all flesh, (F)to give eternal life to all (G)whom you have given him. 3 (H)And this is eternal life, (I)that they know you, (J)the only (K)true God, and (L)Jesus Christ whom you have sent. 4 I (M)glorified you on earth, (N)having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, (O)glorify me in your own presence with the glory (P)that I had with you (Q)before the world existed.
6 (R)“I have manifested your name to the people (S)whom you gave me out of the world. (T)Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. 7 Now they know that everything (U)that you have given me is from you. 8 For I have given them (V)the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that (W)I came from you; and (X)they have believed that you sent me. 9 I am praying for them. (Y)I am not praying for the world but for those (Z)whom you have given me, for (AA)they are yours. 10 (AB)All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and (AC)I am glorified in them. 11 And I am no longer in the world, but (AD)they are in the world, and (AE)I am coming to you. (AF)Holy Father, (AG)keep them in your name, (AH)which you have given me, (AI)that they may be one, (AJ)even as we are one. 12 (AK)While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have (AL)guarded them, and (AM)not one of them has been lost except (AN)the son of destruction, (AO)that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now (AP)I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have (AQ)my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 (AR)I have given them your word, and (AS)the world has hated them (AT)because they are not of the world, (AU)just as I am not of the world. 15 I (AV)do not ask that you (AW)take them out of the world, but that you (AX)keep them from (AY)the evil one.[a] 16 (AZ)They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 (BA)Sanctify them[b] in the truth; (BB)your word is truth. 18 (BC)As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19 And (BD)for their sake (BE)I consecrate myself,[c] that they also (BF)may be sanctified[d] in truth.
20 “I do not (BG)ask for these only, but also for those (BH)who will believe in me through their word, 21 (BI)that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that (BJ)they also may be in (BK)us, so that the world (BL)may believe that you have sent me. 22 (BM)The glory that you have given me (BN)I have given to them, (BO)that they may be one even as we are one, 23 (BP)I in them and you in me, (BQ)that they may become perfectly one, (BR)so that the world may know that you sent me and (BS)loved them even as (BT)you loved me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be (BU)with me (BV)where I am, (BW)to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me (BX)before the foundation of the world. 25 (BY)O righteous Father, even though (BZ)the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. 26 (CA)I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love (CB)with which you have loved me may be in them, and (CC)I in them.”

17 耶 穌 說 了 這 話 ， 就 舉 目 望 天 ， 說 ： 父 阿 ， 時 候 到 了 ， 願 你 榮 耀 你 的 兒 子 ， 使 兒 子 也 榮 耀 你 ；
2 正 如 你 曾 賜 給 他 權 柄 管 理 凡 有 血 氣 的 ， 叫 他 將 永 生 賜 給 你 所 賜 給 他 的 人 。
3 認 識 你 ─ 獨 一 的 真 神 ， 並 且 認 識 你 所 差 來 的 耶 穌 基 督 ， 這 就 是 永 生 。
4 我 在 地 上 已 經 榮 耀 你 ， 你 所 託 付 我 的 事 ， 我 已 成 全 了 。
5 父 阿 ， 現 在 求 你 使 我 同 你 享 榮 耀 ， 就 是 未 有 世 界 以 先 ， 我 同 你 所 有 的 榮 耀 。

8 因 為 你 所 賜 給 我 的 道 ， 我 已 經 賜 給 他 們 ， 他 們 也 領 受 了 ， 又 確 實 知 道 ， 我 是 從 你 出 來 的 ， 並 且 信 你 差 了 我 來 。
9 我 為 他 們 祈 求 ， 不 為 世 人 祈 求 ， 卻 為 你 所 賜 給 我 的 人 祈 求 ， 因 他 們 本 是 你 的 。
10 凡 是 我 的 ， 都 是 你 的 ； 你 的 也 是 我 的 ， 並 且 我 因 他 們 得 了 榮 耀 。
11 從 今 以 後 ， 我 不 在 世 上 ， 他 們 卻 在 世 上 ； 我 往 你 那 裡 去 。 聖 父 阿 ， 求 你 因 你 所 賜 給 我 的 名 保 守 他 們 ， 叫 他 們 合 而 為 一 像 我 們 一 樣 。
12 我 與 他 們 同 在 的 時 候 ， 因 你 所 賜 給 我 的 名 保 守 了 他 們 ， 我 也 護 衛 了 他 們 ； 其 中 除 了 那 滅 亡 之 子 ， 沒 有 一 個 滅 亡 的 ， 好 叫 經 上 的 話 得 應 驗 。
13 現 在 我 往 你 那 裡 去 ， 我 還 在 世 上 說 這 話 ， 是 叫 他 們 心 裡 充 滿 我 的 喜 樂 。
14 我 已 將 你 的 道 賜 給 他 們 。 世 界 又 恨 他 們 ； 因 為 他 們 不 屬 世 界 ， 正 如 我 不 屬 世 界 一 樣 。
15 我 不 求 你 叫 他 們 離 開 世 界 ， 只 求 你 保 守 他 們 脫 離 那 惡 者 （ 或 作 ： 脫 離 罪 惡 ） 。
16 他 們 不 屬 世 界 ， 正 如 我 不 屬 世 界 一 樣 。
17 求 你 用 真 理 使 他 們 成 聖 ； 你 的 道 就 是 真 理 。
