Joshua 21:43-45

New International Version

⁴³So the Lord gave Israel all the land he had sworn to give their ancestors,^(A) and they took possession^(B) of it and settled there.^(C) ⁴⁴The Lord gave them rest^(D) on every side, just as he had sworn to their ancestors. Not one of their enemies^(E) withstood them; the Lord gave all their enemies^(F) into their hands.^(G) ⁴⁵Not one of all the Lord’s good promises^(H) to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.

Numbers 23:19-24

New International Version

¹⁹God is not human,^(A) that he should lie,^(B)
    not a human being, that he should change his mind.^(C)
Does he speak and then not act?
    Does he promise^(D) and not fulfill?
²⁰I have received a command to bless;^(E)
    he has blessed,^(F) and I cannot change it.^(G)

²¹“No misfortune is seen in Jacob,^(H)
    no misery observed^[a] in Israel.^(I)
The Lord their God is with them;^(J)
    the shout of the King^(K) is among them.
²²God brought them out of Egypt;^(L)
    they have the strength of a wild ox.^(M)
²³There is no divination against^[b] Jacob,
    no evil omens^(N) against^[c] Israel.
It will now be said of Jacob
    and of Israel, ‘See what God has done!’
²⁴The people rise like a lioness;^(O)
    they rouse themselves like a lion^(P)
that does not rest till it devours its prey
    and drinks the blood^(Q) of its victims.”
