^16 (A)We will cut whatever timber you need from Lebanon and bring it to you on rafts by sea to Joppa, so that you may carry it up to Jerusalem.”

³ But Jonah rose up to flee to ^(A)Tarshish ^(B)from the presence of the Lord. So he went down to ^(C)Joppa, found a ship which was going to Tarshish, paid the fare and went down into it to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.

³⁸ Since Lydda was near ^(A)Joppa, ^(B)the disciples, having heard that Peter was there, sent two men to him, imploring him, “Do not delay in coming to us.”

⁴² It became known all over ^(A)Joppa, and ^(B)many believed in the Lord. ⁴³ And Peter stayed many days in ^(C)Joppa with ^(D)a tanner named Simon.

⁵ Now dispatch some men to ^(A)Joppa and send for a man named Simon, who is also called Peter;

⁸ and after he had explained everything to them, he sent them to ^(A)Joppa.

²³ So he invited them in and gave them lodging.
