⁷ And Joshua said, “Alas, Lord ^[a]God, ^(A)why have You brought this people over the Jordan at all—to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? Oh, that we had been content, and dwelt on the other side of the Jordan!

⁵ And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons:

¹⁰ And the king of Israel said, “Alas! For the Lord has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.”

¹⁷ But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, “Why do you reason because you have no bread? ^(A)Do you not yet perceive nor understand? Is your heart ^[a]still hardened? ¹⁸ Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember?

²⁰ So Jesus said to them, “Because of your ^[a]unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, ^(A)if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

¹⁷ Then Jesus answered and said, “O ^[a]faithless and ^(A)perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.”

Jeremiah’s Question

^2 (A)“Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. ^3 (B)Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. ^4 (C)From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory.
