²⁰ And Achan answered Joshua, “Truly ^(A)I have sinned against the Lord God of Israel, and this is what I did:

⁴ saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” They said, “What is that to us? ^(A)See to it yourself.”

³⁰ Then he said, “I have sinned; yet ^(A)honor me now before the elders of my people and before Israel, ^(B)and return with me, that I may bow before the Lord your God.”
