¹⁸ And when the priests bearing the ark of the covenant of the Lord came up from the midst of the Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet were lifted up on dry ground, the waters of the Jordan returned to their place and overflowed all its banks, ^(A)as before.

¹⁵ and as soon as those bearing the ark had come as far as the Jordan, and ^(A)the feet of the priests bearing the ark were dipped in the brink of the water (now ^(B)the Jordan overflows all its banks ^(C)throughout the time of harvest),

⁸ and it will sweep on into Judah, it will overflow and pass on, ^(A)reaching even to the neck, and its ^(B)outspread wings will fill the breadth of your land, ^(C)O Immanuel.”

¹⁵ These are the men who crossed the Jordan in the first month, when it was ^(A)overflowing all its banks, and put to flight all those in the valleys, to the east and to the west.

¹³ And ^(A)when the soles of the feet of the priests bearing the ark of the Lord, ^(B)the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off from flowing, and the waters coming down from above shall ^(C)stand in one heap.”

²⁶ Then the Lord said to Moses, ^(A)“Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the water may come back upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.” ^27 (B)So Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea ^(C)returned to its normal course when the morning appeared. And as the Egyptians fled into it, the Lord ^(D)threw^[a] the Egyptians into the midst of the sea. ²⁸ The ^(E)waters returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen; of all the host of Pharaoh that had followed them into the sea, ^(F)not one of them remained.
