⁴⁶ and Me-jarkon and Rakkon with the territory over against ^(A)Joppa.

⁸ and having related everything to them, he sent them to Joppa.

⁴³ And he stayed in Joppa for many days ^(A)with one Simon, a tanner.

Dorcas Restored to Life

³⁶ Now there was in ^(A)Joppa a disciple named Tabitha, which, translated, means Dorcas.^[a] She was full of ^(B)good works and acts of charity.

³ But Jonah ^(A)rose to flee to ^(B)Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to ^(C)Joppa and found a ship going to ^(D)Tarshish. So he paid the fare and went down into it, to go with them to ^(E)Tarshish, ^(F)away from the presence of the Lord.

^16 (A)And we will cut whatever timber you need from Lebanon and bring it to you in rafts by sea to ^(B)Joppa, so that you may take it up to Jerusalem.”
