⁵⁵ But ^(A)you have not known him. ^(B)I know him. If I were to say that I do not know him, I would be ^(C)a liar ^(D)like you, but I do know him and I keep his word.

¹⁹ They said to him therefore, “Where is your Father?” Jesus answered, ^(A)“You know neither me nor my Father. ^(B)If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”

^44 (A)You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. ^(B)He was a murderer from the beginning, and ^(C)does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. ^(D)When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

²⁸ So Jesus proclaimed, ^(A)as he taught in the temple, ^(B)“You know me, and you know where I come from. But ^(C)I have not come of my own accord. ^(D)He who sent me is true, ^(E)and him you do not know. ^29 (F)I know him, for I come ^(G)from him, and ^(H)he sent me.”

⁹ Behold, I will make those of ^(A)the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, ^(B)I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that ^(C)I have loved you.

⁵¹ Truly, truly, ^(A)I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never ^(B)see death.”

^27 (A)All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son ^(B)except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone ^(C)to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

¹⁰ Whoever believes in the Son of God ^(A)has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God ^(B)has made him a liar, ^(C)because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son.

²¹ But ^(A)all these things they will do to you ^(B)on account of my name, ^(C)because they do not know him who sent me.
