41 You do the deeds of your father.
Then they said to him, We were not born of fornication. We have one Father, who is God.
42 Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, then you would love me. For I proceeded forth and come from God. Neither did I come of myself, but he sent me. 43 Why do you not know my speech? Even because you cannot abide the hearing of my words.

42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me,(C) for I have come here from God.(D) I have not come on my own;(E) God sent me.(F) 43 Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say.
