¹⁶ So Jesus answered them, ^(A)“My teaching is not mine, but his ^(B)who sent me.

²⁴ Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And ^(A)the word that you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me.

¹⁰ Do you not believe that ^(A)I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you ^(B)I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.

⁸ For I have given them ^(A)the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that ^(B)I came from you; and ^(C)they have believed that you sent me.

Witnesses to Jesus

^30 (A)“I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and ^(B)my judgment is just, because ^(C)I seek not my own will ^(D)but the will of him who sent me.

^14 (A)I have given them your word, and ^(B)the world has hated them ^(C)because they are not of the world, ^(D)just as I am not of the world.

⁴⁹ For ^(A)I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father ^(B)who sent me has himself given me ^(C)a commandment—what to say and what to speak. ⁵⁰ And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me.”

²⁸ So Jesus said to them, “When you have ^(A)lifted up the Son of Man, ^(B)then you will know that ^(C)I am he, and that ^(D)I do nothing on my own authority, but ^(E)speak just as the Father taught me.

³⁸ For ^(A)I have come down from heaven, not to do ^(B)my own will but ^(C)the will of him ^(D)who sent me. ³⁹ And ^(E)this is the will of him who sent me, ^(F)that I should lose nothing of ^(G)all that he has given me, but ^(H)raise it up on the last day. ⁴⁰ For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who ^(I)looks on the Son and ^(J)believes in him ^(K)should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”
