60 Therefore many of his disciples hearing [this], said, This word is hard, who may hear it?
61 But Jesus witting at himself, that his disciples grumbled of this thing [Forsooth Jesus witting with himself, for his disciples grutched of this thing], said to them, This thing offendeth you?
62 Therefore if ye [shall] see man's Son ascending [up], where he was before?
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing; the words that I have spoken to you, be spirit and life.
65 And he said, Therefore I said to you, that no man may come to me, but it were given to him of my Father.
66 From this time many of his disciples went aback, and went not now with him.

61 Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, and said to them, Does this offend you? 62 What if you see the Son of man ascend up to where he was before? 63 It is the Spirit that quickens. The flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak to you, are spirit and life. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe. (For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that did not believe, and who would betray him.) 65 And he said, Therefore I said to you that no one can come to me, unless it be given to him by my Father.
66 From that time, many of his disciples went back and walked no more with him.

- John 6:60 The reason of man cannot comprehend the uniting of Christ and his members: therefore let it worship and reverence that which is better than itself.
