⁵¹ I am the living bread ^(A)which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and ^(B)the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

^19 (A)And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My ^(B)body which is given for you; ^(C)do this in remembrance of Me.”

³³ For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

Christ’s Death Fulfills God’s Will^(A)

⁵ Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:

⁸ Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), ⁹ then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, ^[a]O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. ^10 (C)By that will we have been ^[b]sanctified ^(D)through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Christ’s Death Perfects the Sanctified

¹¹ And every priest stands ^(E)ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. ^12 (F)But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down ^(G)at the right hand of God,

^13 (A)No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man ^[a]who is in heaven.

^28 (A)just as the ^(B)Son of Man did not come to be served, ^(C)but to serve, and ^(D)to give His life a ransom ^(E)for many.”

^14 (A)who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed ^(B)and purify for Himself ^(C)His own special people, zealous for good works.

²⁰ by a new and ^(A)living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,

²¹ For ^(A)He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become ^(B)the righteousness of God in Him.
