¹⁷ But Jesus answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I am working.”

¹⁰ Do you not believe that ^(A)I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you ^(B)I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.

⁴ We must ^(A)work the works of him who sent me ^(B)while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work.

¹⁶ For by^[a] him all things were created, ^(A)in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether ^(B)thrones or ^(C)dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created ^(D)through him and for him.

⁶ and there are varieties of activities, but it is ^(A)the same God who empowers them all in everyone.

³ He is the radiance of the glory of God and ^(A)the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. ^(B)After making purification for sins, ^(C)he sat down ^(D)at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

The Seventh Day, God Rests

2 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and ^(A)all the host of them. ² And ^(B)on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done.

²⁸ for

as even some of ^(B)your own poets have said,

¹⁷ Yet ^(A)he did not leave himself without witness, for he ^(B)did good by ^(C)giving you rains from heaven and ^(D)fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with ^(E)food and ^(F)gladness.”
